Hi All, Has anyone else out there tried this little baby on FSX? I did have a go and tried it out on my Go Slow XP machine, YUK, it just slowed the FPS down. Went back to normal operation and the FPS recovered to normal. Would I pay for this software? Sorry, NO. Would appreciate comments from others who have tried this tweak software out. Cheers, Michael.

Hi All, I have spent a lot of time with my slow XP machine trying to record my FSX flight and then uploading to the internet. I have tried out most of the video capture software that are free or free trial and they ALL hit the FPS and drop it to around 9 FPS. This is unworkable!!!!! So back to the drawing board and then revisited the FS Recorder web site. If you go to the download page your in the wrong place, you need to go to the Forum page and look for the download link of FS Recorder Alpha version 2.17 which has the video rendering option built in. You then use FS Recorder

Automated FSX.cfg tweaks
IZ0JUB replied to mutley's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Hi All, Having spent over 2 years playing around with FSX tweaks I now know 100 ways on how NOT to do it. I have a Windows XP SP3 computer, Nvidia 6200 graphics card, 2GB of RAM and my processor 2.8Gb so its not the latest NASA set up. I only use home made scenery made with the Italian software FSET. However I now have FSX running smoothly with hardly any tweaks to the cfg files. The biggest hit on FPS with my PC was the buffer pool size and once I set it to 10 million the whole thing had a new lease of life!!! For those interested in figures here are my settings. Nvidia G -

IZ0JUB replied to IZ0JUB's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Hi to all, Well...................I have successfully changed most of the flight instrumentation using the gauges from the Italian Savannah aircraft panel. They all fit OK and seem to work. Its taken most of this afternoon to do this and I am now cross eyed!!!! So I now have a Storch 582 which works OK in FSX. Kindest regards to all, Cheers, Michael. -
HELP PLEASE - STORCH CL 582 Addon For FSX
IZ0JUB replied to IZ0JUB's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Thanks Brett for all your help. I downloaded from this Italian web site at http://www.aliditalia.com/storch.html If you can take a look at what Stefano Vele has done and then let me know how to get it to work in FSX. Regarding the gauges I have found some software about 25 dollars called FS Panel Studio but not paid for it yet. Cheers, Michael. -
HELP PLEASE - STORCH CL 582 Addon For FSX
IZ0JUB replied to IZ0JUB's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Hi again, OK I have downloaded a clean version of the Storch 582 for FS2004. I have changed the sound files and the aircraft works and sounds OK in FSX. It only shows the aircraft panel in 2D. The next step is to get the gauges working correctly! How on earth do I do this? Cheers, Michael. -
HELP PLEASE - STORCH CL 582 Addon For FSX
IZ0JUB replied to IZ0JUB's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Hi Brett, Thank you for getting back to me and the web links. I have seen these before. I'm not sure if the FS2004 aircraft will work in FSX? The Foxbat is very good but it would be nice to get a FSX version of the Storch CL582, as I have just started flying one for real!! Thanks again for your help..................... Cheers, Michael. -
Hi Brett, Thanks for your comments, all noted. Yes the software was written here in Italy but sadly the company is no longer in business, pity as it works so very well and I would have happily payed for this as it was only about 15 euros around 25 dollars. In the meantime I'm having great fun flying the ultralights and para motor trikes as the camera views in FSX are brilliant. Hang on I have someone knocking on my door, I wonder if its the internet police come to take me away....................................... Ah well at least they have computers and internet access in

Hi Brett, The FSX download does not ask for a registration code. After downloading I scanned mine with various software I have here and it is Virus and Malware free according to my system. I have used it now for many hours and it runs perfectly OK. Mine did not ask for any registration. It only asks this in the FS2004 download. I wouldn't have put the download link on this forum knowing that the software had Virus or Malware installed. Hope this help you and other readers. Cheers, Michael.

Hi Chris, There are 2 download links that are now on the You Tube channel. One is only for FS2004 and the other is for FSX, P3D and P3Dv2. I am using FSX and all the ultralights, para motor and trikes work OK. I have been having loads of fun today playing around with this software. Enjoy.......cheers, Michael.

Well a BIG THANK YOU to Gerardo Garcia Sanz for his fast reply to my request for his software. He has now added a link on his You Tube channel. The para motor, trikes and ultra lights that are all included in this download are fantastic. Its very interesting that the software dates back to 2002 and written by a company here in Italy called Lago S.R.L.. I did a web search but they seem to have disappeared? Anyway enjoy flying the new para motors etc. Cheers, Michael.

Hi everyone, This is a very interesting find of a little known ATC add-on, the author is Frederic and a sim enthusiast. The software is called Live ATC Auto PLay, L.A.A.P. and the English part of the web site can be found at this link,http://laap.atc.free.fr/accueil-en.html it is DonateWare licensed. You will need a registered working FSUIPC installed and VLC this is freeware before you download and operate L.A.A.P. Once installed it is very simple to use, you just dial up the correct frequency on your radio in COM1 and the live ATC feed starts. If you do not want to connect to the inter

Hi everyone. Searching the web I found a very interesting You Tube channel well worth a visit called FSXGenius. In one of his tutorials he explains how to download and set up a free eye tracking camera control software for FSX. The download was the easy part, the set up got me going dizzy. I thought there must be an easier way of doing this..........................Well there is......... OK this is what I did, download some free software called Camera Mouse 2013. Downloads and installs in minutes. Now the set up, its easy, I had the software up and running in no time at all. It wor

Automated FSX.cfg tweaks
IZ0JUB replied to mutley's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Thanks for reminding me of this Tweak Link, it does work with my old Windows XP machine and Nvidia GeForce 6200 graphics card. Just a few pointers, when I did my tweak I chose not to tick the VSync Fix and selected Normal for the optimization preferences. I did my tweak about two years ago and if I recall correctly selecting the VSync Fix caused problems when switching between full screen and windowed modes, I ended up with black skies!!!! The other important tweak is getting the Nvidia graphics card set up correctly and I think I am not alone in trying every combination I have rea -
Hi everyone, My old Windows XP machine was chugging along with its 150 GB hard drive and I noticed only the other day that it was getting near to full with all my home made scenery. So I decided to simple copy and paste the FSX across to my external USB Verbatim hard drive. Then I opened this up and found the fsx.exe folder and put a link on the desk top. OK I now have a new FSX icon on the desk top so holding my breath I pressed the icon and FSX sprung into action. I tested it out and noticed that the flights load faster and flying the stock Cessna 172 is very smooth at 20 FPS

Just completed the Isle of Man on the second attempt as VE satellite imagery is no good in the south west part of the island. GE satellite imagery is better but the colours lacked depth so had to edit each of the bmp photos with Irvanview. http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/i2P Hapt flying........ Michael.

Your home made scenery looks OK from here. First go at making photo real scenery can be a real pain in the bum, that's the polite version. Over a few years now I started with Maps2Bgl, then onto SBuilderX and recently discovered FS Earth Tiles. This has made the job so, so much easier. I don't bother with bled masks as I prefer the more natural look of the sea and waterways from the satellite imagery anyway. Having used them all FSET is number one in my book and I do agree it produces a far sharper image than the other programmes. So to all of those thinking of having a go

The Rise and Fall of Home Made Photo Realistic Scenery....................... Almost at my wits end I have finally got FS Earth Tiles working with both maps. Interesting that the imagery with FSET is over 6 years old covering Italy and using GE on line it's only 2 years old. UK seems OK on both and te USA images are better quality in VE. So does that mean I am using old codes? Regards, Michael.
