Hi Dai, I know EGFE very well, I was born there, I remember as a child watching the gliders being towed up with an old Jaguar 2.4 car. Lets hope Earth Simulations do make more scenery to include Wales. Cheers, Michael.

I have had a quick look at their web site and they do offer a load of free stuff mainly airports. I noticed EGFE Haverfordwest in there which I know very well. The only question is Dai whats a Welshman doing flying a helicopter in Scotland? What about some flights over Wales using ES scenery? Cheers, Michael.

Hi Chris, Have just returned from my padded cell. Having tried playing DM and YT and it fails every time, I then decided to uninstall both the media player and update codec pack. VLC player works OK with YT but not DM. Oh dear, then I end up with no sound on my computer. I have now been able to repair the sound after spending all morning in front of the machine. Now I have my PC working as it did a few days ago I will leave well alone for the time being. Thanks again for all your advice and help. Cheers, Michael.

Hi Chris, Have returned from darkened room........did what you advised and DM will NOT play in the media player. It comes up with a message, Playing, then followed by Stopped. AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH................................Cheers, Michael.

OK not to be beaten by technology I tried my VLC media player, that plays YT OK but will not play DM, it is the latest version I checked for updates first. Put VLC to one side downloaded the latest version of MPC-HC and that only plays YT and not DM. Oh for the simple things in life!!! Going to sit in a darkened room............................ Hi, Thanks for all the information. I loaded a test video up to SimTube and it takes forever and several days later still waiting to be able to watch it. Have emailed them to find out how I delete my account. Vimeo looks like it may work although I have tried to register it seems to guess an incorrect email for me and after several attempts of trying to sign up I am now blocked from their serer. Emailed Daily Motion to find out if they provide music to add to my video upload, awaiting a response from them as I write. YT seems sooooooo much easier to me. Cheers, Michael.

Hi again Chris, I have watched both links ad YT video is a much clearer picture BUT has the stutters. The DM video is very fuzzy and sort of out of focus and doesn't seem to suffer too much on the stuttering side. At the time of watching my ADSL specs as follows... Hi, For what its worth I run an old XP machine and use an external USB 2 hard drive which has FSX and my home made scenery stored on it. My PC with FSX runs perfectly OK and has done for the last 12 months. In fact I would go as far to say its running better now than when FSX was installed on the internal hard "C" drive. Tried Daily Motion as an alternative to YouTube, don't bother the picture quality is not as good as YouTube and it seems to buffer a lot when my internet is being hammered by kids. YouTube seems to operate a lot smoother under heavy load conditions. Cheers, Michael.

Hi, I had a friend in Wales test both video channels and he agrees with me that YouTube although it has its moments has far better picture quality. So its curtains to Daily Motion then!!!!! Cheers, Michael.

I have spent the last 3 to 4 years making scenery with all the available software until about a year ago I stumbled upon an Italian software FS Earth Tiles which to me is absolutely brilliant, and it is so simple to us. You can set it up and leave it over night chugging away on the internet. The images in this video are courtesy of Microsoft not Google. Its all the default stuff in FSX running on an old PC using XP but it works for me. For the UK I use UK 2000 airports which do add some realism into the scenery and in both

Thanks for your comments. Opening the Demo software caused my Anti Virus to detect a problem, the software suppliers recommended I switch the Anti Virus off!!!!!!???? Trying the Demo again does slow my FPS down although all the dials are whizzing around, it looks like its doing something but certainly not improving the FPS in FSX. Cheers, Michael.
