1. An update here on the Transponder Progress. I am working on it tonight (Fri 22nd Jan). I don't know how much I get done tonight... All will be done in the usual Blog Format tonight (I promise). The reason it is so hard to mount is purely because I have no (well hardly any) overhanging ledge space to work with. If (for those who own one) you take a look at the Saitek Radio Panel, you'll notice that the Avionics at the front feature a much larger panel than what is at the back. This creates a width space between the sides of the Panel. It is this space that I can mounth with. One the Saitek
2. A few more clues then: - As Rob correctly said, it is in Australia - You'd be stupid trying to land here in anything bigger than an Early 737 - Whilst still quite a small Airport, Qantas and QantasLink and others still make regular vists here Hope this helps, AA
3. Heya everyone, I am re-making the once famous "Guess the Airport" Screenshot thread that died on this forum many moons ago. I thought it was a great idea, so I'm reopening it here. If you don't know how it works... Someone (me to tsart with) posts a screenshot(s) of a particular Airport in any way they like. He/She may post a few clues along with the screenshot. Once someone has guessed correctly, they themselves repeat this process, and it goes from there. So... To kick off the Competition, here's my first few for this Airport: Clues: - This Airport has both Asphalt and Grass Str
4. Heya Joe, from what I have gathrered, that VA Software is unfortauntely definitely a scam. If you take a look at the forums, someone has his personal contact details so he can be reported the Trading Standards.
5. Nah not really sure when these will be purhcased - The CDU is an expensive & big buy, so the next purchase won't come immediately after! Rest assured though - They will eventually be ordered.
6. Thanks Gareth and Needles! The CDU is something I am looking forward too very much! (More Information here:
7. Thanks very much Joe! Hopefully the Transponder will look equally classy too! (It will be placed just below the Bottom Right Radio, just like in the real thing). Jack
8. i was going to reply, but it seems you've cracked it on your main topic reply... Yup just about to say that here, seems to be working. Many thanks for your work Simi, your works have been linked in the Pedestal Thread.
9. Show your support for the Boeing 747-400 Pedestal Project by using one of these fabulous signatures designed by our very own Simi Avi8 in your Forum Sig! Take your pick from four designs: [img=http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/images/ba
10. if you copy & paste the text i placed within the 'code' sections above, it'll give you the image URL and the HTML link for each picture. Heya Simi, I'm referring to the Signature that is the fourth post down on this page - The very first design you made. Also, whenever I copy & paste your post the code just changes directly to an image, is there any way to prevent this? Cheers, AA
11. Okay Simi - All is good. Please may I have the IMG Link to the very first Signature? I can't seem to find it. Cheers, AA
12. Saturday 16th January 2010 The first of the Avoicns has been fitted! I've fully mounted the two Saitek Radios - Unfortunately the Opencockpit's Transponder will have to wait until next weekend... But to quote Jon Bon Jovi - Two Outta' Three 'Aint Bad. I've also purchased a brand new USB Hub that is powered. This means that it draws electrical power direct from the mains, therefore allowing me to run alot of powerful power-sucking Modules on the Pedestal without using a scrap of my PC's PSU Power. The Hub sits nicely inside the Hull of the Pedestal. I'd also like to give a HUGE thank you to
13. Right that looks even better now Simi! Just one final thing (yes you may slap me if I'm being annoying ) - Is the "e" on the second signature (the first signature in the post with the selection of three) an "e" or an "a"? Sorry to be annoying!
14. Just one small thing Simi, on the first one, I think it says Pedastal instead of Pedestal? Unless I can't quite see the e properly.
15. Simi this is absolutely great. I will give you a good mention in tonights Blog update and make sure you get credit on the first post too. I will add all these signatures to the Topic tonight. What a great job Simi! Thanks for all your hard work! AA
16. hows this as a starter AA?? Simi - Sorry I only just round to replying. That looks absolutely fantastic. I never even came up with anything like that! It looks so professional and... Well superb! Please read my PM regarding details etc. Once again - Thanks you've done a great job. AA
17. Thanks for your interest. Maybe a signature with text saying "Boeing 747-400 Pedestal Project Supporter", with a picture of the Pedestal somwhere on it, and maybe clicking on it will bring you to the Project on Mutley's? Something like that would be great - Let your creative talents run wild .
18. Heya everyone, I messaged Joe recently about the possible making of some Signatures for my Boeing 747-400 Pedestal Project (see top of page). He doesn't really have much spare time at the moment, (what with getting all those Reviews written and sorted and of course maintaining our wonderful site!), so I am opening this Topic to let you guys show off your Creative Talents! It would be great if some kind person could have a go at making some Signature Banners dedicated to the Pedestal for use on Forums. The reason I am asking everyone is because I am hopeless at designing such things. Go on,
19. Right - Just going out now to buy some bits for my USB Hub. Don't know how much I'll get done tonight. Hopefully something, although it's the first time I've ever mounted a Module so I must be careful! Stay tuned!
20. Very Nice Ed - I enjoyed the little history lesson at the start too! Liked your "Wrap-Up" too - I prefer VCs now but definitely acknowledge the fact that a good, clear & concise 2D Panel is ALWAYS important. AA
21. Thanks very much Lads. Carenado really did deserve that mark as their GA Aircraft are second to none. Especially the Static Wick vibration - Oh boy that was a fine detail . Anyway, I'm glad you all enjoyed the Review and hope that it made you all a bit more eager to buy Carenado (go on, you know you want to  - And NO I don't work for them ). Anyway... Off to do some VATSIM Seneca Circuits at EGBB! Cheers, AA
22. Thursday 15th January Well after fully testing my Radio Panels and Transponder, I can safely say they are ready for mounting treatment. This weekend is when I'll be cutting the spaces for the Modules. It'll be tricky, because I have to get them *just* smaller than the Modules themselves (so that they "Rest" on the Pedestal Ledge) - This will be done three times for the Two Radios and the Transponder. After these have been mounted... The big baby of Modules is coming (unfortunately in a month or so though, as these Modules are tight on the Ol' Budget)... The Opencockpits 747-400 CDU, a whoppi
23. Heheh never mind Joe! I have just noticed that the USB Hub I already have actually has a DC Power Input! Talk about luck hey  .
