Boeing 767 Pedestal Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Hopefully that will be my reaction when I take it out the box! -
It is Stapleford Aerodrome, EGSG. Jonnie Johnson trained there, he became Air vice Marshal for the RAF. Am I correct?

Information Regarding Opencockpit's 747 CDU Just thought I'd give this quick little post regarding the O/C CDU (for your intrest). I am hoping to purchase the CDU as soon as I am able to do so. The Opencockpit's 747 CDU is a completely Plug&Play Unit. You just plug it in (via USB), then run IOCModules (a program made by Opencockpit's to allow their Modules to run). This should get it working (please bear in mind it only works with the following: Level-D 767, PMDG 747/737, (Possibly) 757 Captain, and some others). As you can see from the above picture, it looks like a real 747 CDU. U -
Proof that Shakespeare was an Oil "Freak"
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in General
Hey Mut, It's a PDF File. It should open in Adobe. Jack -
DISCLAIMER: This was a porject I completed awhile back. It was some "out of the box" thinking that I did whilst I was bored. I then became hooked on the project, spending a Cumulative total of around 15 hours on it. By NO means is this project "Conclusive Proof" or anything beyond those lines. It was PURELY something I did to stretch my brain. "Proof" that Shakespeare was on Oil Freak is purely the title of the Project that I have used since it's beginning. Please enjoy what I have worked on - If you disagree with what I have done that's fine, but please don't rant on here. Thanks, and En

Sunday 24th January 2010 Transponder has been Mounted! I have also drilled two holes in the back to allow the cables of the USB Hub to flow out of. Just like in the real Aircraft, the Transponder has been Mounted just below the F/O Radio. Anyway, time for the pictures! A look at the two holes drilled for the USB Hub Cables: A look inside the Pedestal at the USB Hub: That's all for now then. Next Module to Purchase and Mount is the CDU. Not sure when this will happen, it all depends on how quickly I get old stuff sold on Ebay. Within this potentially lnog time period I will proba -

Boeing 767 Pedestal Project

Friday 22nd January I have produced a "Practice Mount" for the Transponder (purely because the dimesnions are so acute and precise). This was done on a scrap piece of MDF. Tomorrow The Transponder will be removed from this and mounted onto the real Pedestal (or at the VERY latest by Sunday). So yes, Transponder fully Mounted this weekend! Also, for those of you who don't know, I'll be drilling a few holes in the back to allow the cables of my Brand new USB Hub (Powered) to run through. This USB Hub is there to allow the cables of the Modules to neatly plug together (it's inside the Hull -
First guess is it Quito Airport?

Great job Joe. Looks like a great and detailed package. Especially those customisation opetions (doors, cargo doors open etc)> Not a negative as such - But is the sound at 0:37 a result of FSReplay or is it the actual package? Just sounds a little odd to me.
-
Awwww - Congratulations on the upcoming little treasure .

Oh the FTX thing was meant to be a clue . I knew that Country Name must be requried somewhere as going by those clues alone it could be pretty much anything! Lookin' forward to your shots Joe. Google Earth is fine  . Thanks Jack I didn't realise. I have just spun the Google earth globe and come up with a new destination. Taking photo and setting clues now

Bang On! Maybe it wasn't so hard after all ! Take it away Joe!
