ah the chinook, I love the sound of that......to an infantryman like myself it meant one of two things..... a lift out or help was arriving.............they fly over my house regular and the sound always makes me stop and look up.........

welcome Micheal R, agree with John's advise.......as for Xplane which I use a lot it's a whole different ball game, is under constant developement and does need a fair bit of tinkering and setting up. There are some great addons, planes, Ai traffic and great addon ATC and the night lighting is superb but FSXSE is probably better to start depending on your experiance.....if you are looking for advice though this is the number one place to be, helpful bunch we are and knowedgeable too.... yeah that is a real shame, I went the other way, seeing the progress of 64bit wth Xplane I eventually left P3D, however now it's 64bit a whole new world has opened up, no OOM worries, and it seems for me to run smoother at quite high detailed setiings, yes I miss Aerosofts A320 and they now say it won't be ready until next year, never mind I have other stuff and as long as I have AS16/REX and now thanks to SPADnext my Saitek panels I am reasonably happy..... Shame you didn't have space to keep both installed, I have kept my free copy of FSW installed just in case they get it to loo

my two new purchases from Carenado, Malibu.. CT206H, one of my favs in XP11...... Both at EGGD in our lovely weather today.....

Opened a base at one of my favourite ORBX bases and areas, KORS, first paying trip was some luggage down to S10....... loaded up, started, up, lets go earn.... straight out departure and climb to 8000ft.... under GPS control, still climbing, some big mountains to cross....... and there they are below...... trusting ATC to guide me through this, really got on my wick with climb to 12000, descend to 11000, climb to 12000, descend to 11000..... hope you enjoyed the trip....

just an update on this, I have been using this for a while now with p3d4 and I am very pleased with it......all works fine and my Saitek panels are not just dust getherers anymore.....haven't tried the trimwheel though.......

good news, but sadly after trying it out again earlier there still looks a long way to go.....hope they sort it eventually......

just reading about this in a magazine earlier, when that went to press they said 3 engine flight, I suppose though if you have the ability to fix it and get it back then why not...now I guess they will be trying to work out if anything can be done to try and ensure it doen't happen again...

Waitng for a carpet fitter yesterday, 10am turned into 2pm, however not to easte an opportunity I got some flights in, below are a few shots I took, shows the different variations we get around the globe with the same scenery settings but using real weather etc... on route to Christchurch nice to come through the clouds and be in the correct place... on route now to Westport, some good guidance in that cloud from ATC.... unloaded, time for a brew... same day, differnet AC, over the Emerald Isle.....

I think I may well give Chile a try, thans for the input....

can only speak from experiance of my machine, but getting fps of 40-60 most of the time dropping to around 30 landing at a busy airport.....I have all the vector/base/open LC and some regions, also AS16 and REX HD......... 6600k @4.2 1070 8gb 16gb RAM Z170A MOBO
