Orbx release ObjectFlow 2 Open Beta for P3Dv4
wain replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
as I have just installed v4 I am going to give this a miss, will let others test this, have enough going on with other projects at the moment -
+1 relief for the survivors but they won't feel it, you always still feel it so hard for people who don't make it, sometimes you have feelings of guilt for just surviving, thoughts for those lost and for their families .....

saw the plan had to check date, thought it was april 1st......
-
yeah I agree with you Jom, it looks very nice in the white........
-
very nice, great detailed shot......
-
fps counter was my doing, if you disable red text it removes it all........as for AC install, well Carenado just plonks it in the root folder, A2A seems to put the AC in the docs folder, P3D couldn't see it.......troulble is mty docs folder is backed up to a cloud and I think it installed there, copy/paste all sorted...no uniformity here though......what have the rest of you done just installed to root? forgot to say that the stuter was caused by an app called MSI LIVE UPDATE running unknowingly in the background, was causing CPU to max out...

thanks Joe that looks better, installing ORBX now, have very pronounced stutter but will sort that after install.......looks very nice so far only have AS16 so far along with the ORBX stuff, like to install one then fire it up so it finishes, long process......
-
Not seen you around much but hope you have a great day... Happy birthday.....

I cant't get fraps(fps count only) to work or see a FPS counter in this version, would like to know where I am whilst installing ORBX etc, bit stuttery at the moment but early days yet, also when the AC is in sunlight the reflections just look way to bright, any idea how to tone them down a bit?...cheers.....

nice one Matt, great flight, great snaps, love the flaps to a great look, some poor weather neat the end for you though......stay in the bar for a while and get wet on the inside.....

After reading this I was drawn to LM website and only went and bought v4... Wish I had not read this post... Download by about 4 am UK time... Then all the add on stuff needs updating... As if I have time... I wish I had more will power sometimes... Guess I will have to start AH2 again...

thank you Ros, very clear, I will practice this a few times then to learn how to change runway or STAR........only flying this one in XP though and surprisingly I am enjoying the learning.....it's almost fun especially when it all comes together......

nightmare Neil, I hope when you eventually sort it you are very happy with it.....my download will probably take all night, I have an external drive and any big downloads get copied there before I instal, yeah I have been there and done exactly what you did, learnt from it though....
-
oh yeah....been waiting forever for this one, be good to see some pics in action from this one......I read a long while back it was going to be quite a learning curve.....
-
thanks Ros, so setting the direct to for my first waypoint does that then mean the AC will now follow the rest of the route?....have done it so far where I have no ATC and once airborne arm LNAV & VNAV as required inline with the tutorial so still learning this bit......

So I have been playing around with a 737(IXEG), mostly setting up from C & D including the FMC. For some reason I have struggled with Boeing but I know have laminated guidance set up that I understand for this AC in all phases along with pointers for FMC. The question I have is when departing ATC may say "follow runway heading and climb to 5000ft", so I then guess that after rotation I will following those intructions either by hand or via AP. Now at some stage I will be further guided and will then be told to "resume own navigation", so here's the bit I need to clear up. Is that my q

great pic, lovely looking bird, bit quirky but very distinct........

nice one Al, though and first look I genuinely thought shot 1 was a flying boat.....I know to much coffee, it's affecting my brain.....

'tis a fantastic plane, great shots, might have to dust off the XP version.....

well done Al....

I have quite a bit of GE for FSX, recently got rid of FSX and only use P3Dv3 with ORBX, even after following the instructions and setting GE up I still feel that ORBX is better looking than GE...but like Joe said each one of us has a different preference.....I like with ORBX how the season seem to change more and the scenery seems to be more 'alive' if that makes any sense....

nice one, great shots......

lovely, great way to blow them cobwebs away........

oops, wonder if the steps were not in the right place or the plane was in the wrong place....
