  1. You did remember to uncheck the box inside the FSX scenery activation menue? as it look's like FSX is looking for something that is no longer there IMO? Cheer's...Graham...
  2. Thank's for the Tips Joe and Mike . I did try nHancer the other day (well I have tried it a few times TBH) but it does not seem to want to work on my PC when I try to start nHancer after it's been installed, all it does is flash up the consul on my screen and then it disappears! never to be seen again??? Must say that it looks like it has installed OK, but I have no idea why it just seems to vaninish from my monitor after I try to start it up, I must be missing something here??? also it looks like there is no support on the website, so I uninstalled it and carried on useing my Nvidia c
  3. Very nice again . in pic three, is that the REX runway and parking textures that I can see? if they are would you mind sharing what one's you use and I have been playing around with mine for months now and can never get them to look nice like yours do . Cheer's...Graham...
  4. Yes, and I think I will as well from now on, AH seem's to connect to FSX much better when its in windowed mode (I used to get stuck when Alt-tabing out at the end of each flight and have to open up the task manager to shut down FSX ). BTW: I got my flight plans to show up now on the EFBFSX map, (I just had to show it the path to where all my flight plans are stored ). Also, have set up my G15 keyboard so I can flick the whole flight bag on and off without have to press about a 100 keys to do the same task ( thanks to Sabre for that tip, he's a wizard on the G15 keyboard ) Cheer's...Gra
  5. I used to run my FSX frame limiter on unlimited, but as I added more and more stuff to my sim, I started to get stutters and minor screen freezes in heavy scenery areas I have now set my it to 25 FPS and the stutters are gone but still get the odd mini lock up every now and again, but can live with it for now, as there is no way my mrs is going to let me get a i 2600K any time soon Cheer's...Graham...
  6. Super set of shots, thanks for posting them . What a terrifying job it must have been for the airman manning the ball turret, make's my stomach turn just thinking about it Cheer's...Graham...
  7. My next flight will take me into the black for the second time Anyway congrats to both of you, and may all of you carb icing problems be minor one's, BTW: The weather is much nicer on the other side of the Rockys! you should come on over and visit me some time? . Cheer's...Graham...
  8. Yes and they also have a Garmin clone version if you prefer that kind of look The only down side that I can see ATM is the fact the EFBFSX can only be viewed in flight if FSX is set to run in windowed mode (which was putting me off this add on a bit, but now I have tried it with the task bar on auto hide and FS menue hidden I think I can live with it. I'm pleased I found this one as I don't really have enough room on my PC desk for another monitor . Cheer's...Graham...
  9. I missed it as well, so that's a hat trick . Nice shot's Jim, I must put Darrington on my shopping list . Cheer's...Graham...
  10. Thanks for the Comments Guy's. Just thought I would do an update: I Bought it! never can resist these sales at PC Aviator Store . Got it running with no problems, except I had to download the latest version of Adobe reader X, coz EFBFSX won't work with version 8 that I had before I downloaded the free moving map that use's google maps as well, but have not worked out how to get the flight plan to show on it yet (see pic below). Also like being able to store all my aircraft manuals in a place where I can read them and tinker with my plane "on the fly" so to speak This is a handy litt
  11. At time's like this I wish that I had a middle name, coz all I get is "Ugly Davis" . Cheer's...Graham...
  12. Very nice Sam . Cheer's...Graham...
  13. Very Nice . I saw the tread title and thought this was going to be another A2A P40 thread . Cheer's...Graham...
  14. Thanks very much Mike . My GTX260 has 896mb of Ram on it, so a little less that what you recommend, but I guess thats not going to be much of a problem, and I won't really notice anything extra eye candy wise by adding a 1 or 2 Gig card ATM. I won't dash out to buy a new card just yet as there is a ton of other stuff that I want Sabre is insisting I should get . (Like Trac IR for one ). Cheer's...Graham...
  15. Some very Interesting stuff in this thread, well done Guys @ Mike. I was thinking about upgrade my Video card from an GTX260 OC to a GTX560Ti at some point in the near future? do you think that the extra power will help with regards to how fast my scenery (orbx stuff) will load in the sim? Cheer's...Graham...
  16. I have enough trouble finding one base, thanks! BTW: Thanks for the info John Cheer's...Graham...
  17. Thanks for the kind word's All I did make it out ok! but am still waiting for Dai to arrive in the rescue helicopter
  18. Well that would depend on what the nurses were like??? . Glad that your back Alan, been missing your posts Cheer's...Graham...
  19. Had a great time flying this onliner with you m8y Think this flight was the most challenging one we have done so far! Cheer's...Graham... BTW: remind me to take my water wings next time, or get Dai out in his rescue helicopter
  20. It's not really harder flying wise, but you just don't have very much cash to spend at the start, and you only have a default 172 to fly around in . cheer's...Graham...
  21. "Shift P" for backing out of places with any aircraft - 1 turn left 2 turn right Well maybe that works for you m8y , but your should hear those P&W turbo props when you knock them in to reverse thrust (in the Kodiak float plane you can back out of docks ) Cheer's...Graham...
  22. This look's interesting, anyone tried this one out yet? http://fswidgets.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=48 Below is a snippet from the FSWidgets website. AirView technology provides the pilot with detailed awareness and environmental information, including industry first 3D Terrain Visualization with Dynamic Elevation Color Coding (DECC). Coupled with sophisticated 2D and Profile elevation contour display technologies, AirView literally allows the pilot to see in the dark. Modelled on real world avionics and leveraging capability from directly within FSX, AirView graphi
  23. Thank's for that I wonder if Jim knows that you can reverse thrust with these engines?, very handy for short runways and backing out of tight places . cheer's...Graham...
  24. Very nice Rob . Look's like all the Mutleys members are flying 182's in the Orbx world these days! ( maybe we should start our own AH flying club at Mutleys ) Cheer's...Graham...
  25. Don't even think about it! I can't afford to get into any more catch up wars with you m8y . Cheer's...Graham... PS: The video did look nice, didn't it
