mutley 4,498
Chris, You will need the new Orbx Library 130905 or later, I see it's not available yet but should be soon. Cheers Joe
Christopher Low 63
The new object libraries at the time of the release of FTX Northern Ireland were (apparently) included in the package. That's my point. Is everything that is required to use an FTX England airport actually included in all of the UK FTX regions?
brett 2,316
I believe that by downloading their latest library that it is good for all of their regions including FTXGlobal. It is a complete library for FTX products.
Andrew Godden 945
Chris, Brett is correct. The orbxlibs, as they call them, contain all the scenery objects. The latest version is included with the release of each new region, such as FTX NIR, or airport scenery, such as, FTX EGHI Southampton. The latest version of orbxlibs is also available as a separate free download from the FTX web site and Forums after a new product release. Cheers Andrew
mutley 4,498
It is always wise to download and install the very latest Orbx Libraries unless you are installing the very latest product release, in this case it is PAJN Juneau which has the version I listed above. It should be available as a standalone download soon. The problem is, if you download any airport or area scenery that is older than than the present day library release then the library gets over-written with the older version. That's why, when you install any FTX product it tells you in the install screens which version of the library it is installing along with the advice to download the latest version from the site if it is newer. Christopher Low 63
Thanks for that information, guys. That may just encourage me to purchase FTX EGHI Southampton, and then run it through the "Kevin Firth GenX integration machine"
mutley 4,498
Good luck Chris, I hope it works ok for you!
Christopher Low 63
Can anyone tell me if the static airliners can be removed at FTX EGHI Southampton? They look very nice in the screenshots, but I can get quite a lot of AI traffic operating from Southampton, and I want to make sure that there are enough parking spots! mutley 4,498
There is a control panel included Chris that you can switch the statics and increase/decrease the amount of detail. Cheers, Joe
Christopher Low 63
Thanks, Joe.
Christopher Low 63
I see that ORBx are intending to recreate EGSC Cambridge as their next UK project. I will probably be purchasing EGHI Southampton soon, and I would very much like to think that EGSC Cambridge could be "crowbarred" into the GenX photoscenery aswell
Kevin Firth 114
We will try Chris, despite the best efforts and advice of certain people
