So, a passenger taps his taxi driver on the shoulder. The driver shits himself, swerves, nearly hits a bus, and stops inches from a shop window. "F**k me, you're jumpy aren't you?" says the passen

Just a cool link between the three above posts revealed by a quick wiki search.   Arthur Sullivan, composer partner of the team Gilbert and Sullivan who wrote Mikado, was catapulted to fame

Ah yes, I remember them well. The excruciating pain as the tiny lego bricks dig in to your unprotected bare feet in the dark.

William Cody. Any relation to you Brett?

Brett Cody, a great name for a great man.

Here's some images I've thought up of characters named Brett Cody through the last century.

1920s BC as a pioneering pilot, barnstormer, mail pilot battling through foul weather to get the mails delivered.

1930s BC as a Hollywood film star in the mould of Clark Gable. , wooing all the leading ladies on and off set.

1940s BC as a LA private detective, hard boiled and straight out of a Raymond Chandler story

1950s BC as a crooner, hanging out with the Rat Pack.

1960s BC as a Timothy Leary disciple, liberal lefty pot head.

1970s BC as lead guitarist in a heavy metal rock band, still going strong.

1980s BC as a character in a Dallas type soap, a ruthless cutthroat wheeler dealer.

1990s BC as CEO and chairman of an international conglomerates, Cody Holdings Global and Brett Industries.

Sorry Brett but your name just conjures up these characters. :):thum:

Haha, you crack me up Geoff.    I won't tell you which one is closest to the real me. ;)

I have been told there is a far removed relation, supposedly my great grandfather's cousin or something along those lines. My Uncle was named William and even though my grandfather had a different birth name, everyone called him William or Bill. Never asked why. Just to note, my nephew is named Geoffrey  :)

The only time I was called Geoffrey was when I was in trouble with my dear Mother. Like, 'Geoffrey, who was that young lady in the bathroom this morning?'
