Timothy Brooks 9
Here are a couple shots of the old lady and me headed home to east Tennessee for the holidays. Anyone else traveling before the New Year?

mutley 4,498
Hi Tim, I wouldn't mind a quick trip but home now until January. Happy holidays!
Captain Coffee 2,030
Wow...awesome Photoscenery there! And possibly the best drawn CoPilot EVER. What a treat to be able to fly yourself home for the holidays. Safe travels and thanks for sharing the pics

Timothy Brooks 9
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. I hope you all have safe holidays, too. And I have plenty more photoreal scenery to share if no one gets bored of it. I try to put my co-pilot to good use since she is on the phone all the time
brett 2,315
Hope your holiday's are going great. I vote for more pic's, the view was perfect.
Timothy Brooks 9
I had a great holiday and hope everyone else did as well. Here are some randoms from the return trip. I had to file IFR coming back but the weather quickly improved. My copilot with a death grip: Usually I take a more direct route when I have a passenger. The Appalachians are fun low and slow when I'm by myself. I hope everyone has safe travels.
Timothy Brooks 9
Lastly, here is a video of us coming into 1A6. Even though my family lives in East Tennessee, this airport in Kentucky is the closest to their house. It's only a five minute drive to Tennessee from the airport. This approach was breezy and bumpy which is typical of 1A6 as it's located in a bowl-shaped valley. Our plane in the pictures and video is a 1980 Cessna Cutlass with lots of miles on her but she is meticulously cared for.

brett 2,315
Nice landing, love those mountains. I might be a bit prejudiced but I think the Appalachian Mountain chain(especially the Blue Ridge and Smokey) are the prettiest out there. I guess I was wrong, looking at the death grip photo, I thought it was a Stationair. Shows what I know. It is a beauty for sure.
