Well, it does fly....

Way too cool! Almost as much smoke as a Shuttle lift-off.

Reminds me of the paper "glow" thingies that the locals send off in Chiang-Mai. No regard whatsoever for the fire hazard as thousands of paper bags with burning candles inside are sent aloft on celebration days. They sure know how to have fun.

I loved that cloud of smoke it put off even before it made that spectacular corkscrew accent. :thum:  I wonder if I can talk my community into trying that. :D

They would if you volunteered to be pilot. :D

Unless Brett's community is a major town, It would be cheaper to fly interested parties to Thailand to view their event in person, than deal with the USA red tape, fees, permits, sanitation rentals, site rental, security rentals, handicap access, Iinsurance, etc, etc, etc.

Great post John, I love it.  It is a wonder that they managed to get the rockets balanced so evenly to keep its accent vertical.

It looks like Kim il Young's flying saucer program had a successful prototype launch!

Great clip John, loved it!

Haha, I live in a small community of 700 acre lots and 500 homes. One of the Rules is no fireworks :( Anyway, could you imagine how dizzzzy you would get after that flight. :stars:

Nah, just mount the seat so that the rest of the death trap construction rotates beneath you and you'll be fine.. just make sure you bring a wet towel to cover your nose/mouth and some goggles for your eyes so the smoke doesn't bother you  ;)
