Good luck with that Loi, but give me Cricket any day! - it is far simpler:....... You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game! The game is just faster on the PC with all the dice rolls ! Considering a game on PC takes around 1 hour, I can imagine a board game takes the afternooon ( having played in the old days many historical board wargames with figurines, I still remember how much time can be spent in looking inside the rulebook and arguing about the rules... Arguing over the rules is half the fun of a day of board gaming As for games extending over a weekend, take a look at Twilight Imperium.. it's all the fun of the PC game civilization packed in to a board game for up to 8 players... plus it's set in space, so lot's of strange alien races to contend with (and arguing over the rules for their strange special powers) Link to post Share on other sites

Got my arse handed to me by an High Elves team, will have my revenge today... I used to play in the 90s Napoleonic battles 15mm and WWII with 1/300th figurines I had spent days painting with a one-hair brush. Link to post Share on other sites
