The airport diagrams I posted tonight mark something of a personal milestone - 5,000 airports diagrammed.  As near as I can tell I've been at this for something like eight years.  All the old files have been overwritten so I have no solid record of when I started but that's in the ball park.  Everything prior to June 2011 has been updated.

My sincere thanks to all who have downloaded some of these and found them useful.  Watching the download counter click up is one of life's little pleasures for me and helps keep me on solid ground.  These are my small contribution to a community that has provided me more than I can ever hope to give back.

Congratulations John., you have provided the flight community a fantastic resource.

It's also worth commenting that John's charts have now been integrated into Plan-G and Air Hauler 2.

Well done :clapping:

That's a massive contribution to the community John, congratulations.

What's better is that I have them all, thanks to you.

Keep up your great work John.

Thank you.

It was a huge undertaking for any one man, you didn't flinch and have persevered. Congrats on hitting the 5,000 mark and for helping many a simmer find their way.:hat:

A Herculean task John. I saw the "just pre-5k" list you posted on AH2 forums the other day and my jaw dropped...wowzers.

I've only ever downloaded a few local ones from Mutley's, but love seeing them now in AH2... I'll be a regular JAchart user in future even if I don't cause your download # to increase...and will probably add to your request list in near future.

Many many thanks for your efforts, and thanks in advance for adding to my AH2 enjoyment.

Congrats John. :hat:Only another 1,637,835 to go.

Naahh... fewer than 30,000 and many of them are below my standards "cut-off".  I'll bet I'm charting them faster than you're flying to them.

Thanks, everyone.  I appreciate the comments very much.

You may or may not know that I'm making a push to finish all the UK airports that are not yet diagrammed (mostly smaller ones) and expect to have them completed in about six weeks.  I don't know why I didn't think to do that a long time ago.  The UK Airports bundle is far and away the most popular with almost three times the number of downloads as the next most popular.

I have to gratefully acknowledge some help along the way from Quickmarch, who produced quite a few on his own, to my written standards.  You literally can't tell his from mine except for the e-mail address at the bottom right.  He sent them through me to be posted, but he did the work and deserves credit for it.

Don't do your self down John.

You have made an outstanding contribution to the FS community, bigger and more sustained than anyone I have come across. The fact that this contribution continues virtually every day and has done so for so long is a credit to you. An enormous credit to you.

Well done mate.
