Fascinating video.

So true.

Two ground based radar stations couldn't detect it and neither could the helicopters radar.

"Located within the DGAC, the equivalent of our FAA but under the jurisdiction of the Chilean Air Force, CEFAA has committees of military experts, technicians and academics from many disciplines. None of them have been able to explain the strange flying object captured by two experienced Navy officers from a helicopter."

Cuckoo!  Methinks his tinfoil hat may be a little too tight.  The "definitely not from Earth" contention is kind of a leap.

Occam's Razor suggests that it's either 1) a hoax, or 2) something belonging to someone's military who doesn't wish to talk about it.

If it was ~40 miles off the coast that would put it in international airspace so anyone could have been operating there.  At ~ 4,500' MSL, it would have been below the transition altitude and therefore would not be required to be in communication with any ATC authorities.

A question for the pilots of the helicopter.  Given nine minutes to video it, why didn't they attempt to approach it more closely and get visual images from closer in?   IR from 40 miles isn't too helpful in identifying it.  Nine minutes @ 135 knots would have put them about 20 NM closer, so roughly halving the estimated distance.

I'm going with Occam.

Very true, huge leap to state definitively that it's some kind of extraterrestrial visitor. Personally I ignored the individual narrating the video.

Not a hoax. It's a genuine CEFAA report.

As for why they didn't fly closer, perhaps fuel was the issue.

Below is the official CEFAA report.

Another grainy video that leaves me thinking, "Let me know when you have definitive proof" and not a bunch of guesswork that fits someone's narrative.

Well it's definitely a UFO, given that it's... "unidentified". There are bound to be a multitude of individuals on YouTube clamming it's an alien craft, the authorities on the other hand simply state that they have no idea what it was, despite the two year investigation.

I'm tempted to suggest some kind of stealth aircraft given that it didn't show up on radar. Having said that, stealth aircraft usually have a very low heat signature, and this guy clearly didn't.

You might prefer this video... apart from the dodgy music.

Doubt an alien species would land on the White House lawn, given that we human beings are so volatile.

We speculate that the incident above was some kind of secret stealth aircraft, well an incident a while ago was almost certainly that.

A Tornado crew were returning from a ''low level'' mission in the UK to RAF Laarbruch in Germany. When they were flying through Dutch airspace, over the North Sea, they encountered a UFO as big as a C130.

Quote

''After landing, our Dutch exchange officer, on my squadron, called Dutch Military to discuss the event.

''The controller insisted that no other radar contact was made at the time in the vicinity.''

The spooked pilot said the UFO looked nothing like any plane he knew was in any service.

Though he described the plane as being as big as a Hercules it had a smaller wingspan and the engine exhaust had ''a light blue afterburner-type flame which was steady but changing in intensity''.

Two other RAF fighter jets flying out from Laarbruch nearly collided head-on with the UFO and saw it at the same time, the pilot said.

''These aircraft would have been close to being head-on to the UFO, while from our Tornado, the UFO came down our right-hand side at a great speed (ie, coming from the direction of the UK).

''We were doing 0.8 Mach and it readily overtook us.''

Take a look around 55-58 seconds. Sure looks like a CH47 Chinook (Civilian Boeing Vertol 234) . Maybe their radar system was down.

No fair March. Throwing out a sensible "Theory" that explains all the facts observable in the creepy alien video is kind of dirty pool.

1. A vertol would explain the "blade" shapes radiating from the dual blob

2. A vertol would explain the Dual Blob shape.

3. A vertol would explain the similar speed/non closing by the Chilean copter since vertols have a fairly high speed for copters...170kts or so.

4. A vertol would explain someone dumping the latrine contents... which plume on IR film would look very warm compared to the air outside.

5. A vertol smuggling stuff 40 miles offshore would explain no radar, or radio contact if comm attempts were attempted.

But there is a problem...

6. However...A vertol does Not explain why the Chilean goverment hasn't tried intercepting the Dual Blob with a conventional jet...unless someone in the Chilean Gov't is on the payroll of the smugglers... ...

So...must be Aliens.

The CEFAA had numerous experts analysing this though, over a two year investigation. Something as simple as a Chinook wouldn't have fooled them I wouldn't have thought. The crew of the helicopter failed to pick it up on radar, despite numerous attempts to lock on.

A Chinook wouldn't be invisible to the AS-532's radar.
