mutley 4,497
Many of us in the UK have been watching and enjoying "Flying Across Britain" with ex-Marine Arthur Williams. https://www.channel4.com/programmes/flying-across-britain-with-arthur-williams/episode-guide/ As part of a PPL we have to fly solos cross country, so inspired by the above I would like to see shots taken approx 1500 - 4000ft over Britain in a light aircraft, preferably over somewhere well known. Usual rules apply, contest closes Sept 30th 2018, good luck!

dodgy-alan 1,587
Wimbleball Lake, A very distinctive and very large man made lake on the eastern edge of Exmoor in Somerset. On one side lies the tiny village of Brompton Regis which has just one pub serving excellent food! The village has just 500 inhabitants. (though last year it swelled to 502 as we were there on holiday! ) Edited September 2, 2018 by dodgy-alan 1
dodgy-alan 1,587
An ancient landscape. Stonehenge in Wiltshire is perhaps the most widely known stone circle in the world. to this day no-one knows exactly who built it, nor why although there have been many speculations and theories. In WW1 there was actually an airfield situated adjacent to it but this has long gone.

IZ0JUB 162
The Fovant Badges are a set of regimental badges cut into a chalk hill, Fovant Down, near Fovant, in southwest Wiltshire, England. They are located between Salisbury and Shaftesbury on the A30 road in the Nadder valley; or approximately ¹⁄₂ mile southwest of Fovant. Satellite images are courtesy of Bing, Micro Soft.
