Wing struts above the wing have to be big - they're in compression rather than tension and have to be beefy enough to not buckle. Wings struts below the wing are in tension and the load-bearing elemen

But can it lay an egg?   I've seen photos of that one before but don't know what it is or where it's based.  Such poor taste in flying objects is more commonly seen in the hot air balloon ge

I thought it was some kind of experimental ultralight at first because of the cable. Now I see what it was but not why it was there. I gather you were a Cadet Alan, or just going for a ride. I never would have found it without Chuck's answer, although I couldn't find that particular nickname.

Hello Folks

New member here, thought I could join in if I may. Pic below of cockpit view of this old girl, a favourite as I was involved with this aircraft in the 70's and 80's during my time with Sea Rescue. My first clues given in the previous sentence.

I'll catch up on Monday morning as I'm away for the weekend.

Regards

Edit, well this did not work, that is attaching a small 800x600 50Kb picture. I'll need some help on this forum on how to attach a pic. Sorry, I'll try again some time later.

Cheers

Andrew, I don't see a picture in your post yet but if you know which aircraft it is, feel free to state it's full name. Upon confirmation of the correct answer from the original poster, you can then post a new image for the members to guess at.
