A320cap 0
Hi! Today we were woken up by a large earthquake-measuring 6.5! Hopefully, it was 79-100km deep (not 51 km as the BBC article states here). I have to say I was terrified. It did last around 30 seconds. The earthquake, although it was centered in the Peloponnese region, was felt by many people in Macedonia (REMEMBER: Macedonia is GREEK!). My house wasn't damaged at all and as far as I know no houses were damaged at all. Also, there were no injuries

mutley 4,498
Good to hear you are OK Panos. You've had a bad time of it recently what with the huge fires last year. Cheers
A320cap 0
As experts said:" God was the one who saved us, because the earthquake was very deep (80km!) and so no damages were made. If it was at a depth of 30 km, a lot of buildings would be destroyed" Joe: I certainly did!
Martyn 9
If God had his hand in it, then maybe he should have just stopped it completely  Martyn 'Religious Bigot' Northall
MartinW 0
We had an earthquake in the UK a few years ago, insignificant compared to a full blown shaker like yours Panos, but my wardrobe door shot open and it was very disturbing... actually that's not true, I liked it, Apart from worrying about the structure of my house. 6.5 is a whopper though, must have been very frightening.
