  1. Great pics, very moody and atmospheric lighting.
  2. Nicely done, looks like a pleasant ride.
  3. Great little airfield, I love flying out of there. Nicely caught.
  4. A place very familiar to me, the Lobster Pot Cafe on Portland Bill serves the best Dorset Apple Cake anywhere in the county!
  5. An unidentified aircraft has just crossed the Swiss border and is not answering ATC calls. A Dassault IVA is sent up to check up on the intruder. Turned out to be a faulty radio, so left them to continue on their way whilst I had a bit of fun with the aircraft. Thanks for viewing
  6. Flying from Colmar/ Meyenhiem on the German Border, A Dassault Mystere IVA is scheduled to take part in the RIAT at Fairford, First part of the trip is to go to Manston in Kent to refuel. This aircraft has a good AP so our trip along the South Belgian border was smooth and trouble free. Flown in real time and real weather this afternoon. The model is freeware from Restauravia, mystereiva_v10_fsx.zip Thanks for viewing.
  7. I've never noticed that button before, wonder what it does?
  8. Or "Piglet" as it's new nickname seems to be! Took Dino Cattaneo's excellent F-35 out for an evening patrol. The model is great fun, I just cannot find any sort of attachment to the real thing though. RAF personnel that I've spoken to have to officially tell everyone how good it is, But several of them have said so through gritted teeth. Even the display pilot at RIAT, Fairford apparently had to hold back the reigns quite a bit as some of the systems are still not reliable enough for a full work out! I really want to like our new fighter, but it's about as graceful as a house brick and still h
  9. Mig 15 of the Soviet Red Falcons display team, circa 1955. 1/72 scale model. Thanks for viewing, comments welcome.
  10. Purely fictional colour scheme on a Mig-15 UTI. They synopsis being thus; 1970, a dissafected East German pilot decided to defect to the west, and dropped his training flight into RAF Laarbruch after telling his controller that he was losing fuel. The aircraft was quickly hidden away and then dismantled before being shipped back to the UK in the back of a Short Belfast. It subsequently re-emerged in RAF markings attached to the Central Flying School for DACT training! Of course this never really happened but I just felt like doing something different. Thanks for viewing, Psst,
  11. Saab AJ-37 Viggen of the Indian Air Force. In 1978 a deal was signed between India and Saab whereby the Viggen would be supplied to the IAF, first as new builds direct from Sweden and then as licence production undertaken in India. However the Americans got wind of the deal and blocked the sale as there was no export licence for the Engine and other tech which was American scourced. The result was the cancellation of the Viggen and the aquisition of the Sepecat Jaguar. This model was produced with the help of a friend of mine who is something of an expert on the IAF and advised me on the colou
  12. Please don't tell me that's Maj James Hewitt in the audience!
  13. Nicely done, It's a route I fly myself quite often. If in doubt during poor vis, look for St Athans huge white Super hangar and Cardiff/Rhoose is just to the east.
  14. Excellent stuff, one of the best fighters the world never got!
  15. Great work, bet you woke the crew up on that ship!
  16. Looks great fun, that's the only problem with microlights, once you're up there it's bloody cold! I found that out to my cost one summer. Decided to go up in Jeans and a polo shirt, (it was 70c at ground level). By the time we got up to 1'000 ft it was freezing!
  17. Heinkel HE-115 of the Swiss Navy SAR, 1970. 1/72 scale. Totally fictitious of course as the Swiss Navy only has a few patrol boats on the lakes. They have never operated seaplanes. This one I envisage as one of several bought from Germany post-WW2 and brought up to date. The armament has been removed and the rear gunners old position is now the radar observers station. The old bomb bay now carries dinghies and lifesaving equipment etc. The Radar unit and Searchlight were made from old Sea Fury drop tanks, ( the actual lamp is the headlight from an old Burago Landrover). The IR camera pod und
  18. Berieve BE-6 "Madge", Soviet Polar Aviation. Another old VEB kit. This time in 1/72 scale. Again given an alternative paint job as opposed to the dull green that is suggested. This one got a lot of "likes" at the Hailsham Model Show yesterday. Thanks for viewing.
