  1. Lovely old aircraft, nicely caught.
  2. Sopwith camel F.1 flown by Capt HW Woollett at Touquin, France, July 1918. More can be found about this particular pilot here: http://www.theaerodrome.com/aces/england/woollett.php , I've built my aircraft as a war weary example that was nearing the end of it's service life, indeed befor the war ended Capt Woollett changed to yet another Camel. This one took a bit of doing as my close range vision is not perfect and rigging was a bit of a sod to do. However overall I'm pleased with the way it came out. It was done as part of a Group Build Group on FB which for this project featured the Grea
  3. Good pic of what is a very busy airport for its size. Always startling to be passing by on the M27 when an aircraft comes over at almost rooftop height above the traffic.!
  4. A thing I've noticed with all Flight sims is the fact that no matter what year you dial into your Sim set up for a particular flight, you still get the same types of AI appearing. Now I know the makers cannot factor in every aircraft ever built, but it would be nice if even a few aircraft suitable for the period could be generated for the programme. I know I can turn the traffic off as well and have done so on many occasions. However there have also been many occasions when setting up a great shot of a WW1 or WW2 aircraft only to have a bloody Airbus or Boeing etc shoot across the sky and rui
  5. Sopwith F.1 Camel over France in 1918. Thanks for viewing.
  6. Former terminus of the Route 60 from Bognor Regis! I used to love driving that service, it passed through so many lovely places, all split up now sadly.
  7. Good to see something different. My late Aunt took a photo of the real one when she visited Hanworth Air Park in the 1930s. The actual photo is only about 2"by 1 1/2 " but luckily I still have it.
  8. I'll let this run a bit longer as very few entrants so far.
  9. The Avro Manchester was designed to air min spec P 13/36 for a new medium bomber for the RAF. The aircraft was powered by 2 Rolls Royce Vulture engines which in service proved to be unreliable and troublesome. Early aircraft had 2 endplate fins plus a central one for additional stability, later aircraft had larger endplate fins and deleted the centre fin. A later version, the Manchester III had four Rolls Royce Merlins and increased wingspan. This became the prototype for the Lancaster which as everyone knows went on to become one for the most well known of all British aircraft.
  10. Shattering the peace in the Welsh mountains , Folland Gnat T1 departs RAF Valley on Anglesey for a sortie before eventually landing at Llanbedr. Thanks for viewing
  11. I'm still running FSX-A and given the small amount of time I spend on the sim at times I cannot see me upgrading anytime soon. Hell it took me several years to change from FS9 ! LOL
  12. What's brown and steaming and comes out of Cowes?....................................................................................................................................The Isle of Wight ferry of course!
  13. Nicely done, those wind farms are spectacular things, but don't get too close. Reminds me of an incident some while ago in Cornwall. We were at the windfarm in Delabole and were allowed to get close up to the turbines. There were a couple of American tourists there and her remarked about the size of the blades, well knowing how a some Americans like to brag about everything being bigger in America, i piped up "If you think that's big, you should see the size of the aircraft we got the propellers from!" He got the joke but she looked in amazement and said "Really?" I just nodded and walked
