Boeing's Chinook needs no introduction having been around in one form or another since 1961 , The RAF were late to the party and did not get theirs until 1980 after a false start in 1967 in that instance the order was cancelled due to defence cuts. The Chinook HC has been improved and been upgraded over the years and the latest version, the HC-6A is a world away from those early aircraft. The models here are from UKMil.   12. There are some Spitfires based down there at the moment. Boultbee Flying Academy has moved it's aircraft there for the winter as it means they can still operate whereas the normal base at Goodwood gets a bit waterlogged in winter.
