  1. Bombabus, or Airdier...which nick will stick? Nice shots Al!
  2. Great shots, I wish my phone took as good of photos. Looks like a fantastic gift and day.
  3. I agree that there is probably no real world tactical need or application for a Cargo Loop...however it sure as heck demonstrated the strength of the wing spar.
  4. Herky indeed. Great vid. I worked on C-130s and C141s, the C130 was our favorites as they didn't break nearly as often. Hella sturdy birds.
  5. Ha...and I hope they get to strafe Nazis in hell. RIP sir
  6. I briefly considered Vegas, but time and funds were not available to make the trip. Seriously doubt a Fla trek could be in the works either...but I'll keep buying lotto tickets . Someone get a FS expo to San Francisco darnit! Or nearby, SF is pretty high rents.
  7. That era was a tough time for manufacturers. So many "could-a-been contenders" gambled and lost. Nice shots Alan.
  8. I like my wireless headphones with microphone, they are not Logitech but I expect they perform the same-ish. The mic boom is nice as it shuts off when folded up..so no worries squid agents are listening in, but when making flight videos I sometimes like to explain aspects of the flight or situation, and the microphone comes in handy for that plus it stays 'in position' relative to my mumbling pie hole while I look around the cockpit/scenery...a regular mic would not move with me. The wireless nature of the headset also inspired me to "wireless" my TrackIr setup.... using a cheep U
  9. Caught late by me as well. Happy Belated Arnie...glad you had a good day.
  10. Terrific set of Carenados. I keep meaning to pick up that Citation...looks like a sweet little jet.
  11. In a good thunderstorm with regular forkers...putting my FSX on 4-8x speed and holding the V key down is a good way to catch some of those...attempting to catch lightening in Real Time is a waste of it.
  12. They say there is no such thing as Bad Press (despite all the Fake News talk lately)...I wonder if that applies to Bad Marketing as well. What a stunt to pull at your expense/freedom...dirty tricky barstards. That said, quite impressive flying bird in your capable hands Chuck, and if I had an airline I just might buy one of those...so, hey, maybe Bad is Good after all. Bet this won't be the first (or last) time the ATWC card is used to post bail.
  13. "Other than that his cars aren't trying to do any more than other automobiles already do quite easily, just as well and for a lower price." Umm...Incorrect...his cars are trying to Not spew Carbon from a tail pipe, something they do Far Better than a gas or diesel or hybrid. Yes, there is an environmental cost making, recycling, and/or disposing of the batteries eventually...so is there to every oil change for a 'normal gas car' as well as day to day emissions, battery changes, oil leaks, gas spills, etc. I don't know for sure which in the long term is "More Polluting" but my gut
  14. I think they took a different approach to Stealth Technology since then. All's fair in love, war, and another country's democratic elections. #UpdatedCliches Who needs an advanced stealth fighter when you own the competition's Commander in Chief?
  15. Nice one, looks like a beauty. Enjoy.
  16. I agree that I'd be a better chance than a non anything pilot if it came to it...assuming that the only issue is inoperative pilots and not basic equipment/mechanicals. I also like to dabble in a bit of everything simwise and am roughly familiar with heavy approach speeds and handling. I'm certain with my RL arse in the seat I'd be highly motivated as well. I too would have to limit myself to basic AP heading and altitude settings and resort to hand flying the approach and landing...and trust the PADI lights are working...they are my "GoTo" guide for everything. +2 to preferring to assist
  17. A short article on several up and coming Eplane autonomous shuttle projects. Also a shout out to the Mutley news side bar...I do indeed find great items of interest over there. Kudos to the 'editor' be it hardware/human or Soft/bot. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/mar/04/air-taxis-we-have-lift-off-airbus-vahana-ehang-volocopter-uber-elevate-lilium
  18. "A little off line" in 20kts gusting is "Spot On" in my book. Nice flight and a lovely choice of baton hauler. No worries bout busting the ATWC Gold Card, it's 24kt and quite flexible.
  19. Tempting model that one. How do you like it?
  20. Lovely way to sim. I have Aerosoft's ASK 21/ASK21 motor glider...a treat to fly on a booming thermal day. Well captured Jury.
  21. OK...fair enough. I thought you were trying to simulate an accurate looking night sky experience. Omitting the ability to hide the dimmest human-eye visible stars (by starting your options at Mag 7.0) is missing the possibility to recreate that. I was just pointing out that your options should enable hiding stars down to at least mag 2.0 to simulate City Light Night Sky or a Full Moon sky which would obliterate being able to view stars above mag 3.0-4.0 regardless of altitude. Cheers.
  22. It's a great time to be a Wealthy Flight Simmer. I agree the freeware offerings make so much content available to newcomers and old timers alike, but the "cutting edge" stuff is creeping up (appropriately i think given the work put into them) in prices...especially the top end hardware necessary to seamlessly run it all. My system from 3 years ago is struggling to keep up with some of my new addons...and my library has stalled growing (except the occasional new aircraft, which I have to make room for by deleting an older one usually) until I can afford a newer machine to run
  23. IMO your star view-ablilty panel should stop at Magnitude 7.0, not Start there. The faintest unaided viewable magnitude is 6.5...add any white lights and that will drop to 5 or 4. No one can see mag 7 stars without optical equipment or EXTREMELY dark night skies...and above mag 8 Only with telescopes. The night sky scenes above in the video are totally unrealistic especially given all the City Lights below...sorry Chris.
