After leaving a comment on your Hurricane post, I just came across this post. Just what I was looking for! Very curious too about that field near Hurn....is it Dudmore Farm? Love the pic of you testing the guns @ Brett -Good shout about Ian P's site. He's got 3 fields that work with Orbx..hopefully there will be more

Some lovely shots of the hurricane there Alan, and interesting to see some of the old airfield locations as they are today. I never knew the had been an RAF field at Stoney Cross, or Christchurch either...shame its now just housing estates.. Recently thought it would be nice to visit some of the old WWII airfields on a motorbike tour of the country, but sadly, it appears many are no longer... Edit: Found a very interesting website of old airfields www.hampshireairfields.co.uk There is a link to Dorset fields and some great photos of Christchurch field, where, amongst others, they manu

Steph, A number of the Mutley Crew (Joe, Needles, Jess-b) have Plan-G networked on other computers. It works extremely well. If you have any problems, these guys are a good start for any help. Thanks for the tip Andrew I remember talking to Needles not so long ago about it, but it didn't want to work without using windowed mode, and that's no good for the TH2G as it wont work stretching the screen. I think its going to be a networked job after all... -

Thanks for all the replies guys. I never realised just how time consuming it is to put one of these little trips together! ! Love the Orbx scenery., particularly with my 3+1 monitor setup. It's highly immersive, and looks good at any altitude. Still having problems with trying to use Plan G. Seems like a brilliant piece of software but won't work with my setup unless I get another Graphics card or network my laptop or one of our old pcs to it.. it was tjankfully s doddle to set up the route and then load it into the FSX GPS. Will try and get around to the next leg soon.. @Sabre - the ski -
Great photos Alan. Cosford has a fantastic collection of aircraft. We had a good wander around the museum at the Flightsim show back in 2013, but hoping to get up there again in October to see some of the newer exhibits.

Inspired by Sabre's (not so) recent Real Ale tour of Scotland, and recently having managed to picked up Orbx's salutation to its rugged beauty, I thought it would be fun to re-trace Graeme's steps to see how Orbx compares to the photoreal scenery depicted in his tour.. Bear with me... this is the first time I've more than one picture in one post Starting off in the Cessna Skylane R182.. bit slow, but I thought it would give me the opportunity to savour the landscape as it passed beneath me.. Lined up on Runway 07 Climbing out of Newcastle.. lovely sunny day but still a

Hi Wayne Just wondering what you meant by neither of them working on your PC now.. Funny you should say that.. Since i built my current PC about 1 year ande a half ago, my Vulcan and my Concorde won't work. I've got no idea why. The Vulcan is the GM (Graviton Mediatech) version and the Concorde is Logo Flight Simulations version. What was the problem with your two ? Cheers Steph

I'm with Joe on this one. Theyd be perfect as target practice When a handful of drones can cause major problems for commercial and private aviation, as the have done several times recently, I can only imagine what hundreds of these could do when buzzing over just one town. Unfortunately its unlikely that drones would ever be regulated and even if they were it would be near on impossible to enforce.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-30369701 I'll stick with my friendly mail man.. -
I know its late to comment... I really enjoyed your journey (picked up the link in your current coastal tour). I've recently picked up Orbx Scotland so I might retrace your steps to see how it compares with the photo scenery. Thanks for the fun jaunt

Great shots, and from a mobile too ! Already got my tickets for Wings and Wheels in August...Vulcan and the BOB Memorial flight due to fly. Can't wait to see them again. Not remotely interested in the cars though.
