  1. Hi Brian, It has been made, please check first post. Please remember prices will vary .
  2. Hi Brian, That is such a great idea, I will produce a PDF document and add it to the front page of this sticky as a guide to other users. Standby .
  3. Also, I forgot to upload this last time: A picture of the LCD Alphanumeric HD44780 SuperTwist Display: It is a BEAUTY of a display.
  4. Thanks very much Joe! I will keep this new format then, and also use it in the 747Pedestal Project updates too. Those annunciators are a nightmare to make, but they really do look great when completed. Thanks for feedback, Jack
  5. Ohhh, so the event isn't totally free, just entry to JF's even which is within the paid event is free? Also, this Gold Pass, how is it obtainable? I am aware that I won't get one at this late stage, I'm just curious as to how they are distributed. If my calculations are right, you're hoverring around the FlightSim 2010 displays at 8:00AM-9:00AM, and 12:30AM-2:00PM. Well, not exactly these times of course, but something along those lines? Thanks, Jack
  6. Also, please give feedback on the new announcement layout; do you prefer the new or old "paragraph" style?
  7. That's good news Jack I will be there from 8am as I am staying in a Travelodge locally and will probably stay to the end as there is so much to do. Cheers Hi Joe, That is awesome, wil ldefinitely see you there. Forgive me for being stupid, but what are all these "Flight Line Walk", Enclosure, etc? The FS2010 Website odesn't mentio nthese, and I've been to Duxford many times, I thought it was called AirSpace.
  8. Hi Joe, I am visiting Duxford 2010 on the Saturday, I hope to see you there ! What time are you going, etc?
  9. Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone is prepared to design a custom Logo for me (I am hopeless at this). SimiAvi8 very kindly designed one for me last time, although I am aware he is currently on the Falklands. Basically, I would like the Logo to simply spell, in capital letters "DECCA", with the word "System" (Capital S, lower case rest) directly underneath. Please choose your own design, as long as the words "DECCA" and underneath "System" is the centre of focus. Preferably a bold, strong font. Colours, background, you choose. DECCA is part of my Pedestal Project. The DECCA Panel is a
  10. Wednesday 24th August 2010 Firstly, I apologise for the lateness in this post. From now on, all update posts in both the Overhead & Pedestal will be laid out differently, for better clarification of new featues. NEW FEATURES: 24/8/2010 - Added Six annunciators; Three for Hydraulics and Three for DEMAND - Installed IRS Display Selector - Installed IRS Source Selector (L, C, R) UPCOMING FEATURES: - IRS Display Panel, which displays Coordinates, etc - Fully labelled 1st Column - "Wooden" finish removed by overpainting with (used on Pedestal) Boeing CreamBrown NEW HARDWARE ARRIVALS
  11. Nico Kaan has released the latest version of his extremely useful Cockpit Building program ofr the Level-D 767 and SIOC. Lekseecon allows the LDS767 SDK to connect to SIOC, and produce pre-defined variables which can be used with things such as rotary switches, encoders, potentiometers, push-buttons, displays... Everything you could need in a cockpit. This connection is best described in this diagram: In the v7.0 installation, Nico has also provided acess to all his custom-designed SIOC Scripts which are engineered for Openccokpits' Hardware Modules (like the 737Transponder, reviewed here:
  12. Sorry for the lack of photos everyone... I have taken them but I've lost the Camera -> USB Cable!
  13. Thanks very much for your kind replies everyone! It has been my longest review yet but definitely worth the whole experience IMO. Dai - I don't think it is possible to get a perfect hover in the DD206. Due to the constantly acting flight dynamics your helicopter will always be moving at least a little bit.
  14. DAAAMMMMMNNNNN!!! I missed the Aussie routes.
  15. Don't worry Simi, I'll make sure they have wifi for you .
  16. Friday 20th August 2010 The Opencockpits Master and USBExpansion Cards have arrived. These provide 73 Inputs and around 60 outputs to power the Overhead panel. A few of the inputs will also be used for my Pedestal Project. Annunciators are being constructed (six of them) for the Overhead Panel. These are the SYS PRESS/QTY and PRESS/OVHT indicators in the lower left of the Overhead Panel on the LDS767. More pics tomorrow. Jack
  17. Overclockers UK! Why didn't you say so! would you belive I almost ordered a computer from them? Disastrous fail of a company.
  18. Heya JD, What you have posted there is a CockpitSonic 737 Overhead. CockpitSonic&FlyEngravity are probably the two most trusted and most expensive cockpit brands out there. The highest price I ever saw in a FS website was AviationMegastore; A hydraulic platform weighing in at
  19. Yes but you say you'd like to see people walking around, but it would impact FPS, but you award it 9.5
  20. 8th August 2010 The DECCA (Weather Radar) Panel has been installed. Also, very much like the Audio Panel, the switches have been made ready for connection to the Master Card (which has now been ordered!), and a power cable has been attatched to the backlighting facility. This means that the backlighting on the Weather Radar Panel works properly. However, unlike the Audio Panel, it does not come on straight away. The adequately named LI (Lights) Switch is being used as a circuit controller. If the power is ON, the one flick of the LI switch brings the beautiful red backlgihting to life! So y
  21. Very nice Job Ed. I especially enjoyed the part where you state what the product needs for a full 10. Clear & concise. Just one thing... "Overall I have to rate this add on 9.5/10, for it to obtain the full 10 marks I would have liked to see some animated people walking around the airfield, but this would probably have a negative impact on the all important frame rates." Isn't that a tad contradictary?
  22. Thursday 5th August 2010 The Audio Panel has been fitted! Furthermore, the casing of it has been removed so we can have a look at the internal electronics, and the good news is that it looks like they can be interfaced to the Opencockpits Master Card. Since however, I don't have a Master Card at the moment, it is being installed as a very nice authentic dummy unit. A Power Supply has been attatched to the (native) red bulbs which are for the Backlighting (original backlighting too!). Please remember that this Audio Panel (728-A2) is from a REAL Aircraft for that all-to realistic feel . Pi
  23. Heya everyone, Just a word to say that I (& Father) have sucessfully used up all six Servo slots on the USBServos Card and mounted them in a nice wooden panel. This wooden Panel also has two heavy duty switches (taken from a commercial airliner cockpit) that control power to the Gauges and Instrument Backlighting. The entire Project has taken around three months from conception to delivery, and has cost (overall) around
