Why on earth would you be wanting to sell Orbx products Eddie? They are THE best!

If that's the case, you'd be surprised at what else I've eaten... I'm a chilli maniac. Love the stuff. Once, I managed to get hold of a few slices of the "Naga Chilli" This is the hottest natural chilli known to man, only surpassed by the GM British Chilli. The Naga Chill is so hot, it is infact used in weaponry in the Indian Defence Divisions. It can blind you! Anyway, a SCORCHING hot chilli, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. I loves the Naga Chilli . See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhut_Jolokia_pepper It has a SR of 1,041,427 (Maximum). It is only 15 times weaker than PURE CAP

Jalapenos. The Mexican equivalent of the chill (to an extent). The problem is, I eat them like a jet eats fuel. I ate a whole jar of them yesterday, and am slightly getting concerned my "addiction" to the spicy treat will lead on to some adverse health effects! I am aware of some of the various health issues associated with them, but still! Jack

Boeing 767 Pedestal Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Planning it out on paper makes it look much less ambitious, but thinking about it in my head it does seem extremely complex. One feature though: There will not be a "native" CDU screen. There will literally be a 5" gap where the screen should be. This gap then is literally placed on top of the ECIAS Monitor, and then the CDU dragged across. This is a great solution, not just because it is cheap and easy, but because it means I can use the EICAS and CDU at the same time. It is just a real nightmare getting the correct sized buttons for the Function keys (PROG, EXEC, HOLD, etc). Jack -
Boeing 767 Pedestal Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Tuesday 20th April Royal Mail say i have to wait another week until I can file a compensation form. Anyways, I have seriously started toying with the idea of building my own CDU for the LDS767. It will utilise TWO BU0836X Cards (to handle the 69 buttons required). Anyway, please give you input on what you think to me building my own. The final cost shouldn't be any more than around -

If anyone is selling a copy of the LDS767 I would gladly purchase it! :nea:

Boeing 767 Overhead Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Thanks for your interest Kenneth! Basically, to get an LED to light up (or anything illuminated really, for that matter) we need what is known as an "ouput" for it to work. An output is pretty much something that the PC gives out, which is then "translated" (usually through some scripting software such as SIOC), and then finally transferred to the relavent device for illumination. Look here: Level-D 767 -> Annunciator Light -> Gives Output -> Received by SIOC -> Handed over through USB to the device However, if you are wondering what IS this output in the first place... I will -

Boeing 767 Overhead Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Sunday 18th April Woohoo! First bit of construction completed! I have made the complete cut for Column 1 of the Boeing 767 Overhead, and fully implemented the Hydraulic Controls & the ELEC ENG CONT Switches. They have all been wired up and have been connected to the sim. The only thing left to do is leave you with some yummy pictures! Those cables you can see connect directly to Leo Bodnar's BU0836X Card, then rom there it is a simple USB Connection to the PC. A look at the back of Column 1: TO DO: Okay, I still have the labelling of all the buttons and switches to do. This is -
Hello everyone, Due to unforseen circumstances, the promised Overhead Action I was going to do for Leg13 has sadly had to be posponed. This is because FSUIPC will not provide the Mousetrapping function with the 757 Captain add-on, which means I have turned the 757 Overhead Panel Project into a 767 Overhead Project with the software being the LDS767 (if that makes sense!). I promise you duly that the next Leg I get WILL feature some 767 Overhead action. Once again I do apologise, Jack

Boeing 767 Overhead Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Hello everyone, I have changed the project slightly for some reasons. I am now contructed a Boeing 767 Overhead, not a 757 Overhead. There are two reasons for this, please see the first post for all details. Thanks alot and I hope I haven't disappointed! Regards, Jack -
Boeing 767 Overhead Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Saturday 17th April A test panel has been constructed and wired up to the BU0836X Card: The BU0836X card itself: I have had absolutely no problems interfacing this to FS so I forsee no problem undergoing the first bit of the 767 Overhead - The Hydraluic Switches & ELEC ENG CONT Switches of column 1. These have already been constructed, I just need to literally wire them up to FSX. Hopefully an update today or tomorrow regarding these switches! By the way, I really do apologise for the blurred pictures. For a better picture of the BU0836X card please visit Leo's Product Page here: -
What do I do for Leg 13?
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Challenge Control Centre (CCC)
Thanks for your input guys... Looks like the 757 then! I have the hydraulic switches in place already so looks like we will be getting both Overhead and Pedestal action. -

How will you simulate the fuel displays then?? Looks like another great project, I look forward to reading more, Good Luck! No idea yet. Probably with a tiny, tiny Monitor. Getting an LCD display to work would be extremely hard. -

It's a term used by us Brits to describe disguisting people who negatively influence society. It can stand for many things, but they all revolve around the same sort of thing: Council House And Violence etc, or my personal fvourite: County House Antisocial Vermin Regards, Jack

Hi everyone, I have a poll here for you. For Leg13, my Leg, would you like to see the Pedestal in action alongside the 757 Overhead Panel (which i hope to have functioning)? Or, would you rather see me in a GA aircraft? I ask, because I have already used a 757 and maybe you guys want a change. But the 757 option does come with a real-life overhead panel... Jack

Boeing 767 Overhead Project
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Cockpit Building
Yes, Leo's boards are incredible and being based in the UK, it only took the item 18 hours to arrive from point of purchase! What also impresses me is the support for 5V inputs, potentiometers, rotary encoders (he has even supplied freeware driver software for rotary encoders). Brilliant! On a side note: You'll notice that the Overhead Panel has a few digital displays. This are extremely hard to implement with most add-ons for FS2004/FSX, purely because most developers do not rovide an SDK with their software. -
Boeing 767 Overhead Project

Aye. Around 5 or 6 I reckon would do. It's 32 buttons per card + some analogue + finally some support for rotary encoders. Also, I'll need some output cards for the displays, but we'll worry about that later. I've only just got into inputting, never mind outputting! Just a note: I have wired up Leo Bodnar's BU0836X Joystick Controller Card with a test panel. On the test panel, I put a toggle switch, rotary switch and push-button switch. The result was absolutely fantastic! Everything worked without any programming whatsoever, I didn't even need to install a driver! This product is probably -
THREAD UPDATED 31st AUGUST 2013 - COLUMN 4 COMPLETED! Hello there! I'd like to welcome you to my second and latest Project - The Boeing 767 Overhead Panel Project! Like the 767 Pedestal Project (which I'm also making, see the top of the General Forum for more details), I will be self-constructing a Fully-Sized Boeing 767 Overhead Panel for use with the Level-D 767 in FSX. I will be building the overhead panel over a long period of time, and all updates to the project will be posted as a reply to THIS thread in a "blog-style" update post. I will be making all the parts myself. Hydrau
