so got it running, installed P3D, it loads but cant see anything, tried something els, all fine.....delete P3D and install FSX, all goes well, orbx global base installs fine but cant download ftx central....you know I may just give up.......bored with this now......open the window pc coming through.........lol

nightmare, but I am still smiling....so I got hold of my OEM version of windoze 8, installed, now updating to 8.1........had to do a full install of OS drive so I will be installing all my other stuff over the coming days....its a long job just to do P3D and XP10 and their relevent addons....luckily all addons are backed to an external drive.....my worry is if anything plays up like I am expecting P3D as it was not a proper uninstall......never mind....only lost AH1 & 2 as I did not back them up, 1 is quite easy to rattle some money up in and as for 2 well I have started so many companies

Just thought I would share my pain with the class today. Had an issue with the PC last night...ended with a blue screen of death.. insert disc it said and error 0xx000034..google says thats cache manager.... i have disc for windows 8 but about 5 months ago I took the upgrade to 10...I guess putting disc in will put it back to win 8.... however if it doesnt work another option is format drive and start over..not sure how to format drive from blue screen but when i force it to close I can get to BIOS screen if that will help me.. nightmare.. guess I may not be flying for a short while now....

yeah it is very nice Matt, a few teething issues but maiden flight was fine...been looking at my CS777 and wondering wether to reinstall.....not sure if FMC is similar to 757......

I keep the range down and usually end up with a load of jobs from 37nm to about 350nm, I can then chose depending on my time, which currently is very limited.... have to work hard to pay the mortgage but want more fly time......

So had to haul some fruit frome 4W8 to KORS, my homebase...... climbing out from 4W8.... still climbing, upto FL120... in the cruise now... this view is why we fly.... nearly there, lucky as fuel is getting low...... not centered but none the less smoooooth...... and the clients are there waiting.... hope you enjoyed the trip as much as I enjoyed the flight......

So after adding Joes views to the config I was able to get around the cockpit a lot easier...just a few shots of a quick spin around the skys...detail is not great but I was not sure which settings to use for this, I have a setting for GA and another for the likes of Aerosofts A320, QW757 etc...but I have fps locked at 30 and it was near that most of the time even on the ground will have to check the vas, it was all very smooth though....I do like this which surprised me really, I like the old school feel of it but need to brush up on the old nav skills, gps, fmc, mcdu's have made me lazy....

nice looking addon, the amount of detail is truely amazing, ORBX really do set the standard, love the season changes and the lighting looks rather good too...great review Brian, I notice that apart from you having an i7 our PC specs are exactly the same including motherboard, it would be interesting to know if you were flying anything around the area what were you using as the pics are very clear........may get this next month, the trouble is there is so much quality around and I cant have it all....

I have also regularly seen a whale at KORS, thats an ORBX one too.....obviously in the water not on the runway... that would be bad...

Geoff 2 of us have posted on JF regarding not able to access views using the A key...are you getting around the cockpit ok?...I guess I could just use trakir....Yeah I am reeducating myself on the nav let it slip a bit... I tend to go through startup a few times... then startup thru to the cruise a few times.. when happy I do a full flight then write myself some notes..just a few pages with pointers to remind me.. weird I know but it works for me as some manuals are huge...
