  1. Was treated to a fab view at Gatwick the other day, and shows just how late the aircraft get their clearance to land: DGdIGlJG9ik&feature=channel_page and has you have seen on the forums posted by Jordi the A340 that arrived Monday afternoon carrying the Chelsea football team back from Houston. 2. Fab intro to the forum  As always my videos are still on youtube, but I'm now going to leave Jordi to mainly do the LGW videos as not only are they better quality all round but fantastic in there own right, though I shall still post a video every now and then. I once reffered him as the Simon Lowe of Gatwick, and I hope you can now see why As I have said before, sorry for not visiting the forums as often as I could, unoftunatley it seems the spark in FS is very quickly fading away for me.
  3. Of all the days i dont go filming (due to the weather). The gatwick spotters group this morning went completley mental with all the diversions ETC. Then got a call from one of the airfield operations employees saying there was a evacuation in progress and was wondering if I had filmed it.
  4. After recieving a new tripod, me and "Gatwickspotting" decided it was time to check out some of the rarities at Gatwick. One of which is a new spotting location. This location is very new to us as this was our first time here. Here are a few videos that I managed to catch from today and for once, I have nothing to blame for the video being a tad poor apart from the strong gusts of wind. Spot 1: No tripod used for this video as you can probably tell! MVHQw7uTiR4&feature=channel_page Spot 2: mcg4xdsIyyY&feature=channel
  5. If you need the leg flying Joe ill be quite happy to do it now, as all exams are now done, and the PC OS is also reinstalled.
  6. Super shots mut! The connie sure looks great to fly and very nicely modelled :atwc: sorry I havnt really been following the forum and challenge much (school to blame). Leg 49 due Monday
  7. Sounded like a great day Simi Hopefully she will still be up for Saturday at Biggin Hill, where I can finnaly see and capture the bird on my trusty camcorder
  8. Thanks for the comments lads. Glad to know that this should be the final video with the stupid tripod as it is on its last legs- litteraly.
  9. Thanks to "Gatwickspotting " off youtube for another days good filming at Gatwick. This time we decided to head down to the 08R end for some filming (my first time capturing video down this end) and here are the results. You will be glad to know as much as me that the tripod I currently have will be getting rid off for a nice new replacement one with a fluid head  The new location will also be extremely good for aircraft landing on 08R, as there will no longer be any fences in the way. Anyway, comment if you like or not, and any critism i well accepted, aslong as its not about the d
  10. Cheers guys! Hopefully within the next few weeks I shall be changing my spotting position, and the dreaded fence will be gone! This may be one of my last videos for a few weeks with the tacky mesh fence covering the whole frame.
  11. As long as you behind the ditch its fine, the cops just drive past as normal. Plus now that there are Aviation enthusiast ID cards for both LHR & LGW, it should lessen my chances of getting moved on.
  12. Hi Mike, This is one of the problems of filming and photography at the airport. You arnt allowed to put the lens through the fence, as you will be quickly told to step behind the ditch- theres a ditch inbetween the pavement and the perimeter fence. Other spotting locations include the end of 08R and the car park. Both of which I am going to try and start filming at. However the only problem is, you get as quickly moved on as you do getting told to move behind the ditch, which is a minor problem.
  13. Hi, Sorry for the lack of input to the forum latley. You probably wont see me regularly on here for another few weeks yet. I have adjusted some camera settings on my camcorder including my manual focus- which should help make the frame not so full up of fence  I also now have the privilage of filming with "gatwickspotting" off youtube - the Simon Lowe of Gatwick. Dispite being only 14, his videos are still top notch and in HD. Not only that, but also films at different locations from me at the airport- some of which you will see from me in the future, although the locations he spo

Sorry for the rain that goes onto the lens, that was obiously beyond my control Also sorry for the unprofessional, lens cleaning during some of the shots in part 2, I was slightly caught up in a heavy rain shower Both videos are available in HQ.
