Hi John, Looking at the Duet Display web site as well as reading the FAQ's it looks as if the answer is no. Duet was designed by a couple of ex Apple engineers so I am guessing it is iPad only. However I have just switched my wife's android tablet on and gone into Google Play Store and searched for "Duet Display" in the app section and the one I used did not come up but a couple of others did that look as if they do the same job. I am looking at "Air Duet Screen" & "iDisplay" so see what you think. Hope this helps Mike

I think I have cracked this so I thought I would start a new thread to avoid what is hopefully good news for some of you getting mixed up with the old news in the other thread. The good news........... I have downloaded an app called duet display onto my iPad from the app store and a small piece of software from www.duetdisplay.com and bingo, I can drag programmes from the main screen of my PC across to my iPad. All you need to do is connect your iPad to your PC using the USB charging lead that came with your iPad The bad news............. the app from the app store cost £11.99

I have cracked this so I will start a new thread on it just in case people who have dipped in here do not see the update. Look out for thread 2 Mike

If any of you enjoy reading fiction books based around aviation I can recommend "Prestwick" by the author David Hough. I downloaded this to my Kindle and could not put it down. A good gripping edge of the seat ride with plenty of aircraft and general aviation "speak" thrown in for good measure. Enjoy! Mike

Well I had a reply back from Splashtop following the ticket I opened and it said: "If you want to view your iPad as an extended display to your target computer you need Splashtop Extended Wireless Display" So off to the App store I went and to my surprise this app is free!!! I downloaded it and was faced with a message saying I get 12 minutes of free time before I have to upgrade, however I still couldn't get it to work, I was getting a message saying I needed Window's 7 (which I have) and my 12 minutes was due to expire and I would need to upgrade soon!! At this point I gave u

Thanks Joe, He has dangled the carrot now vanished and left us all hanging. I have opened a ticket with Splashtop's help desk so if I get a reply that makes sense and solves the problem I will put the answer up here. Mike

Hi Steph & Patrick, I hope you don,t mind me joining this thread but being a newbie I am sucking up all this info like a sponge. I have just purchased the Saitek pro flight yoke and throttle set and it did not seem to take much in the way of setting up however I always thought I had missed something. What is FSUIPC? Mike

Malaysia Airlines 777-200ER Missing In Flight
bilirubin replied to Andrew Godden's topic in Real World Aviation
BBC news reported earlier in the week that all aircraft parts have serial numbers stamped on them, especially parts of this size so this being the case you would like to think they can identify the part/plane. You have to feel for those who lost loved ones on this flight as well. The wife of one of the flight crew was spoken too when this part was washed up and she explained that whilst this latest twist might bring closure so she can finally lay her husband to rest she has always had a hope he was alive somewhere which of course is doubtful. Hi Dai, I like the look of this so I have downloaded Splashtop on my iPad and the streamer on my main PC and all is fine apart from I can only get what is showing on my main monitor to show on the iPad. I can see Joe asked the same question and you replied saying "is your FSX in windowed mode" & "the default position for the iPad monitor is to the left not to the right" I do not understand the above comments so could you explain what "windowed mode" is and where do I find the option to change the default position for the iPad monitor? Thanks in advance Mike

Many thanks Loic & Brett, Those answers have given me a better overview of how Plan G works. I do not have a high spec PC (yet ) so the ipad option looks good if I can get it to work, looking at the thread Loic pointed me too it looks as if some got the system working whilst others have had trouble. Hi all, I would like to explore flight planning in a bit more detail now as all I do at the moment is the pre planned missions in FSX. This means I just jump in and follow the green compass tip in the left hand corner of my screen and the way points built into FSX. Plan G looks a great bit of kit and I have downloaded it plus I have watched Dai's video which was great, however I have a few questions: 1/ Once I have put my flight plan together do I open the saved plan and leave a small window open when in FSX and follow the instructions based on VFR? 2/ Do I print it off and hav

Thanks Dai, I am just in the process of getting to grips with both Plan G and flight planning in general so that was a great video to kick off with. Mike
