Iirc Brett, I think I'd flown the previous leg of that flight at 03:00z before finishing the whole trip with everyone. So this flight into Portland was my sixth in 24 hours. (When I flew into Las Vegas, I as so tired I landed heavily on the wrong runway.). Best of all, we may do the whole thing again next January.

Yup. I'll be on the PC pilot stand

Hey guys. Indeed the Jessica in the video is me, and you can here me throughout the video. For the record, whist froogle let the ngx take the strain, I flew a manual approach, at night ( the correct time). Also whist the three of us performed landings at Portland, in real life, the airport was closed to all traffic due to the weather. Best wishes, Jess B

I don't know about 'mature' audiences, but the phrase 'sausage fest' comes to mind.

Yup, Tim pretty much nailed it. Now version 10.30 should bring some much needed autogen updates that will bring region specific bits and bobs. Interestingly, the video above has more than a few fsx sceneries converted for use in XPX, which is a bit of a cheat. From my point of view, I'm beginning to lose the enthusiasm I had with the release of XPX. Aerosoft aren't producing XPX scenery at the moment though what I think is a lack of demand. The flood of 3pd's just hasn't happened as expected and worse, there's talk of xp11 development beginning. So two years from now, it'll be back to squ

Damn, I've got to try and keep up with things. In fairness, I have been rebuilding my fs PC. march, as Andrew said, the aircraft Is the Fairchild F-24. It's by lionheart creations and bill has done a great job with it. It's a little cramped but fun to fly. It felt very at home at Bella Coola along with the piper pacer. Brian, your right, its a beautiful place but a bit on the pricey side to enjoy on a whim. Still it makes for a fantastic exploration base. Best wishes, Jess B

Hey guys, In an unusual move, pmdg lifted the NDA on beta testers tonight, allowing the much anticipated 777 to make an appearance. Edit: there was a video but its been taken down a the poster was unhappy with the quality. Expect lots of vids to appear in the next 24 hours.

Mikael, the trick to getting the AN-2 started is switches. I use a few on my Saitek throttle quad to act as the magnetos. That way i can switch them on quickly after the starter engages.

Hey guys, It seems that flight isn't as dead as we think. I've been following news that a few flight users have been digging around in flights innards and there are signs of new aircraft coming. It started as a project to see if fsx's default aircraft could be converted to fly in flight, but its growing to the point that a possible brand new aircraft, the republic seebee, is being made for flight. So microsoft's folly may end up doing something good after all, the return of a great community feel, working together to make something better. Great stuff.

Lionheart Creations release the Fairchild 24 Series

Flown this tonight and she's a bute. A bit snug on the inside though. -
It was quite a long thread, fair play. But there was some really useful infomation in there. It's good to see that the whole FTX central switching may eventually be a thing of the past. The only annoyance for me is that FTX global is now sheduled for release the day I head off for my summer break. Typical. Jess B

I did what now? See that's what people get for waking me up early. Sorry Dai. Kieran, I was trying to get to grips with IL2 for a dogfighting competition on the PC pilot stand. I think I was still trying to work out the networking at that moment. It was a great show. Next up lelystad. Woo hoo. Next year will be even better though, assuming I'm not dead by then. Lol (I have a potentially heavy work week on the weekend before. I've said to much. I wasn't here right! ) lol

I'm not sure Reinhard will be happy though. I've got a nice list for him on this build. :-) -

Great stuff, and a few fixes and improvements are my fault, having spoken to both Bob and Reinhard about a few things. Lol -
A good nights sleep can cure a multitude they say, and after a rather pleasant night in nearby Straubing, I was ready to take to the skies once more with Mike Zulu in tow. A leisurely breakfast and a check of the forecast told me it was going to be a nice days flying. Today wouldn't be to stressful with just a single leg planned for the day. Still, I was eager to get going and I found myself in the cockpit at 10:30. There was certainly more cloud cover today, but it was nice and high so it posed little threat to Myself or Mike Zulu. Having learnt my lesson on the last two flights, I studiously

A spot of Shopping and a bite to eat at a little cafe later and it was time to move on. With the clock reading 1300, I figured Mike Zulu and I were ready to head to our next destination. This afternoon's route took us further East to the little town of Staubing. It has a lovely little regional airport right next to the Danube that would serve us both well for the night. Loading up, I did my preflight checks, and again I forgot to 'burp' the engine meaning I could expect more oil splashes on the canopy. Nevertheless, Mike Zulu purred into life and we taxied to runway 3R for takeoff. Th

It seems time is always against me, and this little trip i planned has dragged on. The original plan was to enjoy a little time off and fly a route from cardiff to the small German town of Donaueschingen, the source of Europe's Danube river. I set myself several rules one of which has kept me grounded for the last few months. Winter is no time to fly the stunning but fragile Diamond DA-20 Katana around in non VFR weather. So Mike Zulu has been sat in Danaueschingen since october, waiting for time and good flying weather to coincide. Well it has and today I dusted off my route maps and headed t

Pembrey is part airport, part Motorsport venue. Nice shots though Rob, but anyone whose been to Swansea airport would never discribe it as 'nice' lol

Most of the X plane airports need flattening. Editing the terrain mesh is incredibly difficult.

It's not often I'm impressed with X-Plane 10 scenery but this airport is something else. But take a look at this from tru scenery. http://truscenery.wordpress.com/2013/03/04/new-features-for-eftp-project/ It's probably the best airport I've ever seen for X plane.

Hi Remington Box, Yup, I'll be continuing, but I have to redo all my flight plans thanks to a HDD failure (I am not happy.) More to come soon Oh and yes, Mochi mmmmmm

It's been a while since I got the 3rd leg of the ATWC started, bringing us from Russia onto the North American Continent at Unalaska. That had proved to be a difficult and dangerous flight. so As I rolled up at Ottawa, I was hoping that to finish this section off wasn't going to require some crazy piloting skills like last time. Fortunately, Ottawa doesn't lend itself to crazy that well. In fact the Canadian Capital is far to straight laced to enjoy many things. Locals even wander across the Provincial Border to fun Loving Quebec to enjoy the nightlife that Ottawa lacks. Now I think its f
