  1. Hi Carl, Flying the Airbus is a little more complicated than a Boeing, at least when it comes to auto flight and auto landing. Ok, to start with, I'm going to assume you had your approach set up in the MCDU. As you approach the airport, you should notice a capital D on the ND. This is where the bus entered the approach phase. The system will start slowing the aircraft, ready for you to deploy the flaps. At this point it's wise to put the aircraft into 'landing mode' by clicking the 'LS' button next to the Flight Director 'FD' button on the glareshield EFIS panel. (Next to the autopilot pane
  2. It's worse than that Chris, next year is a leap year!
  3. Hey guys. Just a quick word on VAS. It's frankly amazing what LM have done with the Memory usage in v3. As Joe described above, I. Seeing over 2gb left at Saarbrucken. However, to really test things out, I loaded up my A320 model at Aerosoft's Heathrow. With my auto gen maxed out (both veg and buildings) I saw my VAS sitting at 1800mb left and frame rates around the mid to high 30's. That's with openlc EU installed. Now that is amazing.
  4. Glad you liked the review guys. This is a fantastic aircraft. I love it.
  5. You know, back in my day, blood bowl was a cracking board game. Do they still have chainsaw wielding looney's.
  6. Hey guys. Glad you enjoyed the pirep. Mickie, the A330 is from Jar design and it's for X-plane 10.
  7. "Never eat the food" is an old adage for travellers, and one I really should have paid attention to. A bout of food poisoning has left me stranded at Cassidy international for days. Unable to fly, and even worse, drink, I've been left to my own devices at the local hotel. Thoughtfully, ATWC head honcho Mikael up had sent me a few 1 player board games to keep me company. Though without a bottle of Lemon Vodka as a companion, by the third day of my captivity, I'm losing patients with a few of the games. Thankfully my breakfast stayed in this morning and I able to resume normal flying. As normal,
  8. Like Andrew, I don't have the Ifly 737, however, have you tried using the 2d cockpit view and closing the panels? That may give you the view your looking for ( you may have to resize the view however) Jess B
  9. Hi, I'm a little out of touch with the current Aerosoft Airbus, but here goes. Firstly you mention that you've just bought it. Check your version number and then check the Aerosoft forums, because there's usually a hot fix or two that needs applying. If you need to install them, do it and refly the flight. If your still getting issues, then it could be a number of things. The Airbus really is very different to a Boeing and the throttle settings are one of the big differences. First up, the issue joe describes is called TOGA LK. It happens when the aircraft comes close to a stall and the fli
  10. True Enough Mikael, you know I love my Saabs, although Harley may have had even more trouble getting across that leg on a full tank.
  11. I'm tired, out of place and out of practice. Work has kept me busy and I missed a huge chunk of the last section of the ATWC. So I'm raring to go on this, the first leg of next section. Aircraft choice is always interesting, and following a recent trip to Sweden, I discovered a quirky little Saab, the J21 following a recent trip to the Swedish airforce museum with Mikael. Having done a lot of searching, I'm surprised to find a J21 living in retirement out in PNG. What are the odds aye! The J21 has plenty to enjoy, speed and fuel economy plus it's pretty nice looking. The fuel tank
  12. Hey guys, just a heads up to confirm the release of the latest beta for X-Plane 10 boxed version users. Here are the release notes. 14. That is a beautiful looking aircraft John, I'm very jealous.
  15. He'd probably have to fly with emraites and I sure they fly to Birmingham via Dubai!

Last time I flew out of Cardiff in real life, I took off in a Cherokee, and had a T7 coming in behind me. That motivates you to shift I can tell you.
  17. What alarm is it? The 737 has more than a few. For starters, and as a very rough guess, check that's your throttles are in the closed/idle position and check the gear handle is down.
  18. Having followed the development of the airport, I can say it looks fantastic, and at a great price to.
  19. I'll have a look Brett, but I've always like xpx's water. I've even belly landed a 747 on it.
  20. It must have been a good birthday. I know for a fact he spent it enjoying sharknado on Swedish TV. (Sorry abut that Mickie).
  21. You're welcome guys. And if anyone has recommendations, post 'em here.
  22. Weirdly, I upgraded my win 7 install to win 10 and my p3d licence is fine. Gotta love computers.
