Hi Gabe, I am, at the moment a little dissapointed with night lighting as I have been to these islands and know what it's supposed to look like. I'll reveal more in my review though. Cheers Brian

Hi Guys, Glad you are liking what you see so far. @ Mike, Yes only 2 areas at the moment, but a miriad of smaller islands included, which make up the Orkney/Shetland areas. @Mikael, I will check it out. @Joe, If I can, I will. Cheers Brian Thanks have to go to Joe for securing this scenery for me to review.:001_th_smiles89:

Hi Guys, Thanks to you all for the plethora of ideas and opinions. I was only installing nhancer as Nick mentioned it in his optimization posts. Had it before I reformatted but since new drivers installed, it won't run. I will have a try at some of your suggestions. Cheers and Thanks again, Needles

How To Rejuvenate Your Laptop in One Easy Lesson
needles replied to GabethePilot's topic in Hardware
HI Gabe, Likewise, I too have built several hundred PCs for myself and various clients but I am not looking forward to a laptop refurb'. Whenever I used to pull my siblings toys apart to see how they worked, I always had a bunch of screws and other bits left when it was reassembled:stars: I will get around to it soon though as I think it may well be the answer to several weird things happening with my laptop. Cheers Gabe, Regards Brian -
Cheers Dai, I am at a loss now, as I've downloaded all I can at the moment regarding .netframework! Ah well, these things are sent to try us. Brian

Hi Guys Does anyone know why I can't get nhancer to run on windows 7 x64? I have tried various releases, it installs fine but just won't run. Any ideas? Cheers Needles

Jack/Dad, Pure Excellence! Just spotted your update and it is brilliant. Really inspiring. I'm still pestering Wifey for a spare site in one of the bedrooms for a future build. Only a GA, maybe a Cessna or similar. I nearly always get my way........eventually. Well done again and bring on the next panel. Kindest regards Brian

Hey Gabe, You never took the bait......Well Done. I was hoping for a reposte but was left wanting. I never did my laptop any damage but I am thinking of doing it at some stage soon. It is running quite hot and noisy, perhaps a clean out is what's needed. Thanks for your post. Regards Needles PS tried sending you a PM but forum says you can't recieve any at the moment. Is your conversation allocation full by any chance?? -
Hi David, It would be of interest to some of us, as to how you went about building your pit, the costs involved (vulgar, I know), how long it took you and what is actually included in your setup ie how many PCs are running it etc. Absolutely fantastic setup though. Well done. Regards Needles

Hi Gabe, Thanks for sharing your ideas about laptops. I am going to do mine tomorrow (Monday), just one question. To whom do I make out my lawyers letter, when it goes belly up and I have several bits and screws left??:001_th_smiles89: I like to have all the legal stuff in place before I undertake your ideas/instructions.:icon_thumbup: Looking forward to your reply:icon_bowdown: My Very Kindest Regards Needles -
Kieran, You gave the game away, shame on you:knucklehead: Anyway, isn't X-***** :th_smiles73: Not my words or thoughts. If you quote me I will deny all knowledge of this and er, go into hiding. FSX rules ok! or FS9 for those who really care:th_smiles73: :icon_thumbup: Ta ta for now.

HI Guys @Tim, Thanks for your thoughts and knowledge on the matter. Much appreciated. Personally I'm not against the cost of producing this scenery or any other scenery. It's just that, I have flown several cessna flights over the Highlands and have been waiting a long time for the relevant FSX scenery to emerge hence my mini protest. I understand it takes a great deal of time and effort to produce scenery of this quality so I would, of course purchase the Scotland scenery when it comes out as I have an interest in it as a resident in the Highlands. I'm just very impatient.:001_th_smiles48:

I'm getting a wee bit nervous guys. Do you know summat I dinnae? Orkney and Shetland should be a breeze to navigate....no trees, no mountains......where's the problem??? Close to Iceland I grant you but apart from the odd ash cloud, what else is there? Stop worrying me guys. I'll have all my settings on easy. That should give me a helping hand surely!!!:th_smiles73:

Hi Dai, Yes the price tag is quite steep, which is going to make buying the whole of Scotland (eventually), a mortgage job. Why Scotland has to be left til last (imo) with such a hefty price on it baffles me. But at least Horizon are actually doing something for the pilots up north. I've already got The Western Isles, so I will have to get this one too. Looking forward to it. Cheers Brian

Hey Rob, :atwc: :gtfl: :great: s. Ok, that's all the creeping done. Now, picture #1 How did you fit all those seats behind Una, in that little Lancair?????? Is this aircraft a Tardis by any chance? Excellent scenery shots also. The baton is well and truly on it's way now. regards Needles:thum:
