It started life as a Packard Bell Imedia but countless tweaks, small explosions and wild cursing by me have turned it into:

160GB SATA2 HDD

3GB DDR2 RAM (dual-channel)

480W Tagan PSU

nVidia/BFG 7600GT

DVD-RW drive

External 250GB HDD

Stock monitor and basic Logitech speakers

And some dust

Top of the list is a whole new system, I can't upgrade this one due to a tiny case (and tiny wallet admittedly) and an ancient motherboard.

About a month ago, I bought John "saunder" Stevens' gaming P.C. Basically, the spec is:

Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz, 2670 Mhz

Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard

4GB 2800 Corsair Extreme Memory with Cooling Fan

Asus nVidia 8800gt (512Mb)

2 X 250GB Hard Drives

24" Flatron LG

650 WATT power supply

I've installed Windows 7 (90-day trial) together with FSX deluxe and Acceleration...... Although I don't use it very much - I'm still ploughing through the new FSX missions - I've also installed FS2004.

I'm well pleased. :great:

Cheers - Dai. :salute:

ok, here goes..i probably have the oldest spec here, but lets see shall we:

  • [*:30659tjy]CPU - AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2.1GHz OC'd w/ CoolerMaster 'aero' heatsink)[*:30659tjy]MOBO - MSI MS-6590 ULTRA[*:30659tjy]GPU - ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 512MB (oc'd and fitted w/Thermaltake Heatsink) [*:30659tjy]RAM - 2.5Gb Corsair DDR2700 [*:30659tjy]PSU - 450W generic [*:30659tjy]HDD 1 (storage) - Seagate 120GB 7200rpm [*:30659tjy]HDD 2 (apps) - WD Raptor 80GB [*:30659tjy]Optical Drive 1 - Sony DVD+/-RW Dual Layer DVD-RW [*:30659tjy]Optical Drive 2 - LiteOn DVD-ROM/CD-RW

see, told you....its positively creaking under its own weight, moves slower than a dead pig and needs a defibrillator just to get it to boot up - but it works!!!!
And now for the FS and Add-Ons:
  • [*:30659tjy]FS9 [*:30659tjy]Flight Global SE [*:30659tjy]Traffic 2004 [*:30659tjy]British Airports 1-4 [*:30659tjy]VFR photo Scenery set [*:30659tjy]Wings Of Power: Heavy Bombers [*:30659tjy]Wings Of Power: Fighters [*:30659tjy]Flight Environment [*:30659tjy]Ground Environment Pro [*:30659tjy]Ultimate Terrain [*:30659tjy]Flying Club [*:30659tjy]MAAM Sim DC3/C47 [*:30659tjy]Captain Sim 757 [*:30659tjy]PSS Airbus [*:30659tjy]PMDG 737 series (including NG, 800 and 900)[*:30659tjy]and countless other additions from the freeware world...
