dodgy-alan 1,587
Never ever used farcebook...cant see the attraction.... I said that at first as well, but now i'm on so many different groups on there its unreal, also connected to a lot of my old schoolfriends and shipmates. plus got contacts in my political meanderings and other civic bodies. Also as I have a widespread family its an easy way of keeping in touch with all of them at times. I don't play games on it, It's strictly for communication purposes. These days I'm kind of stuck if it doesn't work properly.

dogtrack 346
Have an account myself but do not use it for social interaction....only have four "friends" and one of those is the wife. It serves me well though as a means of staying in touch with news/releases etc from companies supplying Music, Films, Hardware and Software. Saves me the hassle of trawling my way around the net for information that is of interest to me. The "Follow" facility is well worth the trauma of creating the account.....and its free. See some of you on Saturday, hopefully.
MyPC8MyBrain 273
lol, so funny to read these comment,it is a simple mistake rolled out to production; maybe without staging the update first; who knows,I’m sure the dev, his supervisor, and their manager all had their asses handed to them on a platter,I’ve seen this too often; from a technical aspect it’s a simple mistake and an easy one to fix; you rollback code,i can only imagine the graphs in the NOC there spiking red alerting as VIPs start sending errors,i used to get a kick out of watching the NOC juniors scrambling as VIP's spike out,

brett 2,315
I wonder if this has anything to do with a scam that was going around that a boat load of folks fell pray to. There was a screen that came up telling everyone that they needed to update their accounts to a new secure version that scalped everyone's info. I don't use it but my wife does to keep in touch with everyone. I found it too intrusive with it's personal data collection system so never went on it.

dodgy-alan 1,587
I was very sceptical of FB at first, but having joined it have got in touch with so many of my old shipmates, work colleagues and schoolfriends etc it's unreal. Also, due to my political and Civic activities these too have various FB pages that help keep everyone informed. I find I am able to keep in touch with people all over the world that I wouldn't normally be able to. It's an invaluable tool. I do NOT however play games etc. Many do, but it's not my thing.
