mutley 4,498
Thanks for waiting, I have included 2 shots as there isn't a great deal of remarkable information available The 1st clue is it is an American Protectorate.
Clem Wu 1
I know this one, but I'll give others a shot at it first Joe has given some pretty big clues!
allardjd 1,853
I got it - NSTU, Pago Pago Intl, in American Samoa. It popped up in one of the lists I use to do airport diagrams from and I diagrammed it today... http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/files/file/1581-nstu/ ...but didn't recognize it as this one until looking at it in Google Earth. allardjd 1,853
You had it figured out about a week before I did and then I only tumbled to it when I accidently stumbled over it. Looking for a hard one now. John
allardjd 1,853
This should be pretty easy - there's a LOT of information here. John
CSoul 182
Hill AFB, KHIF?
allardjd 1,853
That would be the one... I knew that would be an easy one, even though I pixelated out most of the helpful text in the sectional view. Nice work. John
CSoul 182
Thanks. Here's the new one. Clues: This is a GA airport that serves a city with a biblical-sounding name (the Israelites had quite a few tussles with them).
CSoul 182
Second clue: As for the airport's name, you're not looking for Chris Jericho so much as Chris _____ . (though Jericho might help with the first clue)
CSoul 182
Clue 3: There's more than one Jericho in the world, and in this case, there's a Jericho in this state.
CSoul 182
No one going to have a go? Clue 4: The area around the city plays host to a Dirt 2, desert trailblazer stage...and the state capital is salty.
mutley 4,498
Hi Marcel, The only airport I can come up with is KCNY Canyonlands? Not sure how that fits in with your clues other than it being in Utah
CSoul 182
Canyonlands it is! The first clue referred to the city served by the airport - Moab, Utah, the Kingdom of Moab having been in quite a few conflicts with ancient Israel. The second clue referred to a wrestler, Chris Canyon, and would have indicated that the word 'Canyon' was in the airport's name. Jericho was also a clue, being close to the Kingdom of Moab in ancient times. The third one referred to the town of Jericho, also in Utah, and hopefully would have helped find the state. The fourth one was silly, as I was running out of clues. Dirt 2 has a stage set in Moab, and the capital of Utah, Salt Lake City, is salty (as I said, I was running out of clues). Over to you. allardjd 1,853
Nice work, Mr. Mutley. Marcel is pretty crafty. That airport is only a short distance from the last one I posted, Hill AFB in Salt Lake City. John
