FSUIPC, this has not been enabled in P3D yet, should have full compatibility in V1.3

Edit: Working OK, ensure latest version 4.758 is used, marked P3D compatible on the download page

Simconnect should be OK

Carenado 337 Skymaster.

Will only install into default FSX location, you have to port the files over manually.

EDIT: This can be installed by using the TweakFS registry fixer to point the installer to your Prepar3D folder. I created a dummy fsx.exe and placed it there too.

However, I find that the sim will crash when clicking on the GNS530 and a lot of the VC click-spots to not appear to work.

I Have found the same issue with the P-46-T

Not really 'programs' as such, but if you have two identical USB throttle quadrants (as I do, for twin engine ops), only one of them can be configured through the UI. The other can only be set up by directly editing the controls.ini

They say this is a known issue that will be fixed in 1.3.

Hi, I have changed the registry to look at P3D instead of FSX, on installing VOXATC V6, they recommended the registry change, entries show in P3D menus but the VOXATC window does not appear when checked. Strangely the recent VOXATC window appears when clicked on but is blank as there are no recent messages yet. Has anyone else had this problem or has solved it please. :(

Update:

Found that two gauges required for VOXATC hadn't copied into the main gauge folder of P3D, once done all working very well. :D

There is no P3D installer. Flight1 said to me that this is a license problem (entertainment license!?)

I have done the tweaks for P3D like "TweakFS registry fixer" but I have done this by hand. The "TweakFS registry fixer" was not available at the time when I did it. The tweak is working fine at other sceneries and airplanes (also PDMG etc).

Have you got the c162fsx.lic file in your C:\Flight One Software folder, or it maybe elsewhere on your PC?

I guess the thing to do is manually remove it from P3D and re-install using the registry fix tool.

Here's one to add. Aerosoft's excellent Da-20 katana. It can be installed and if you leave it in simple flight mode, it flies well. However in realistic mode you'll be probe to random failures. I've had engines fail if I change the time and date, batteries fail in flight and so on. It's most likely a sim connect issue as p3d has slightly different protocols to the older FSX version.

The PMDG 777 will not work in P3D (by design — it exits after giving a polite message that it isn't supported on that platform).

Also, Aivlasoft EFB v1.x is not supported in P3D. (Whilst I have seen occasional reports that some people have got v1.4 to work, others have had problems). Version 2 (currently being written, and hopefully to be released in 2014) will fully support P3D; and its interface to the sim will be via FSUIPC rather than SimConnect.

Cheers,

Bruce

I wonder if the folks reporting non-operational add-ons have tried again since the .dll update posted shortly after version 2.1 was released? I know some items (PMDG) simply will not work, on purpose, but many of the others will work with the updated .dll's.

If you haven't got the updated .dll's after having upgraded to version 2.1, visit here: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=5696

Dave Porter's Power Projects 4.2 works fine except the wind turbines don't display and neither do the steam/smoke effects.

The pylons (millions of 'em) and chimneys are all there though.

Assuming your post is about FSX Power Project v4.2.

The electricity pylons are default FSX models, and, not quite millions of them, v4.2 has about 36,000 (v4.3 when released will have about 46,000 - the extra pylons are mostly in Scotland).

I don't have Prepar3D (who on Earth came up with that name?) so welcome the feedback.

The smoke/steam special effects were created using the official FSX guidelines, but the wind turbine models were modified in v4.2 to 'true FSX models' from the fs2004 models of earlier versions using the brilliant, but quirky Arno Gerretsen's ModelConverterX to improve frame-rates & provide smoother animations.

By the way, I've been called many names over the years, but never Dave - reminiscent of Rodney in Fools & Horses.

Cheers,

Ray Porter.
