i hope what i said works for others...

of course this works 95% of the time, but 5% the default aircraft are being used by ai flightplans that are added by sceneries sometimes. If you download any of ed desroces or flightontario's and cant seem to delete the ai, try deleting the aircraft and that should fix it!!
