  1. Decided to take one of my T28s up for an early morning run over Arizona. Great aircraft to fly and that huge canopy gives a fantastic view of the sunrise. Had to drop down onto a roadway briefly for a pee! (too much coffee!) but a very pleasant ride as the sun came up. Eventually parked her at a small airport and had some breakfast! FSX model by Ants Airplanes. Hopefully this lot comes out in order but who knows with PBs antics! Thanks for viewing. Note, as suspected PB has mixed them all up, sorry folks.
  2. Very nicely done, smart ship. Was looking for an Airbus at first!
  3. Nice freebie from JF, you need the Typhoon already installed to use this one. thanks for viewing.
  4. Inspired by Captain Coffee, I too have the Tigercat, but took her elsewhere! The CAA enquiry begins on Monday! Target sighted breathe in! Almost on time! On the carpet at Redhill
  5. Glad you're finding your way round the system, even some of us old codgers are still learning things though. You never really stop, every flight can present new challenges. Virtually all of my flights are free and not controlled approaches. If you want to try something a bit challenging, try and find the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong. Making your descent down a hill and through tower blocks leaves no room for ever! I've been on a couple of real flights into there and it was really odd looking straight into peoples living rooms as you came in!
  6. Looking at pics of the damage, that aircraft is going nowhere wvery soon. They may even decide to scrap it as they did withthe one that had the accident at Heathrow a few years ago.
  7. More pics and video here guys, Looks like the BA crew did a fine job as one would expect. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-34193767?ocid=socialflow_facebook
  8. Two of the two seaters are based here at Goodwood,. they are a regular sight beating up the seafront. Almost like the soundtrack to our town! http://www.boultbeeflightacademy.co.uk/
  9. Just happened this morning, looks like an engine problem but shes on her belly in a field. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/tenterden/sport/spitfire-crash-lands-in-field-42807/
  10. That's the one Brett, The CallAir A-2 it is indeed. Interesting history and they eventually became part of the Rockwell company whos crop dusters are world famous. But they all started with this one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CallAir_Model_A
  11. This one is the A2A model, http://www.justflight.com/product/a2a-aircraft-factory-avro-anson-mk1
  12. Nice atmospheric shot of a great aircraft.
  13. It is definately NOT anything to do with Piper.
  14. I can tell you that it was mass produced and 218 of them were built. the design was continually improved and evolved, Those overwing struts give a big clue as to part of its intended use as this is a common feature on these aircraft.
  15. Thanks for sharing , that's great, made lots of night flights when joining various ships and it;'s still an amazing sight. In some places it was really weird when crossing the Sahara or various oceans, the total darkness of the environment. It made one feel very small. Once over the Saudi Peninsular we spotted a single point of light in the total darkness, it was believed to have been a desert campfire from one of the dozens of wandering tribespeople.
  16. The Avro Anson was one of the RAFs unsung heroes, they carried out a variety of roles including , Bombing, Training, Liason, Recconaisence, Coastal Command etc etc. Although first flying in the 1930s the last ones were not retired until the late 70s. They were slow and obsolete by the start of WW2 but still held their own amongst their newer "replacements!" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Anson

    Annie,

Picked up this one today , used my saved up points and got it for a tad over £8.00. A great rendition of this lovely old aircraft. The flight was a weather recce mission out over the Solent. We departed RAF Stoney Cross at 07:00 into driving rain, was hoping it would clear offshore and although it was patchy, by the time we went to return to Stoney the whole of the coast of Hampshire was socked in. Eventually managed to get down at Bembridge on the IoW. thanks for viewing.
  18. Thanks Peter, I'll have to sniff them out.
  19. Nicely done, the 10 looks good in the Panam livery, it was somewhat rare in real life as well as Panam didn't have that many of them.
