  1. It's been said by others, and I can only agree. Great shots and good commentry that was great fun to read. The ATWC posts was actually what got me hooked on this forum in the first place. I was actually considering bidding for a leg on this section, but I somehow missed the bidding I had plans to use a hot air balloon as a part of the leg from St Maarten to Saba that was in the original plan but now seems to have been scratched. In hind sight, and after looking at the geography in the area, getting down with anything outside the airport at Saba and continuing on with a HAB might hav
  2. Love the shot... But I'm a bit confused... what happend to your VFR basics? I clearly see that you have the blue side down
  3. That has to be the understatement of the year :shok:
  4. True, but still. If I saw a whale fin like the one in the logo on this flight, I'd be really surprised. The CRJ-pakage is now installed, but I havn't got any of the planes in the air yet. Spent a good 2 hours trying to figure out where everything was in the cockpit last night
  5. Found this through a swedish online newssite. http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandgta/2009/05/14/9460296.html According to the swedish newssite the airline claims this happens every now and then. As someone not at all involed in RL aviation that statement sounds very strange, is that really true?
  6. As promised here's a few screen shots of the nomad in flight. First of the 2D Panel And two exterior shots in flight. The location i trust is obvious, but judging by the name on the AC i must have made a wrong turn somewhere :baton: Regarding the CRJ-200 I just bought the download version of FeelThere/Wilco CRJ Regional Jet vol.1 from the AVSIM-Store. Just waiting for the activation code, that for some strange reason was missing from the delivery conformation mail
  7. I'll see if I can get a CRJ 200 down to test that. The only one I could find right now was the Project Open Sky version, but it seems they hosted all their downloads on AVSIM, so that was sadly a no go at the moment. Prehaps a Fokker 50 could be an alternative too if I can find that.
  8. I actually saw some video fotage of that incident on a swedish newspaper site eariler this morning. It can be found here http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/nyheter/utrikes/article5126786.ab, to bad they didn't catch the moment of suction.... On the same site I also found this: http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/nyheter/utrikes/article5132817.ab. Probably a scary moment for the passengers. And this: http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/sport/article5127327.ab. Wouldn't want to be in that plane when the bird hit....
  9. Did a quick test flight last night, i'll try to post some shots when I get back home from work tonight. Considering it was primarily a plane to be used as AI-traffic it was OK. Not the best looking plane I've seen, and with just a few animated parts (only the flaps, propellers and landing gear as far as I could tell). It handles fairly good, but prehaps a bit sensitive in the turns. The big downside to me was that it didn't have a VC, flying with just a 2D cockpit will take some getting used to for me. I was also surprised that the MTOW and cargo capacity was as low as it was. I
  10. That looks like just the right bird, I knew someone here would have the answer for me. I'll try to get it down and do some bush flying in the outback. Many thanks John.
  11. Hey everyone. From what I've seen in this forum you guys seem like an informed bunch of people, so I thought I'd toss a question in here. I've been trying, and failing misserably, to find an FSX version of the Nomad featured in the classic TV series "The flying doctors". Having a RFDS paint job is by no means a must, but if anyone has found one of those it would make my day. So far, what I've found is a FS98 version on AVSIM with the right paint job, and if my memory is correct a FS2002 version with an other paint job. From my somewhat limited understanding of the MSFS world, i'm guessing t
  12. U2 - Angel of Harlem Apart from the obvius in the bandname the lyrics starts out with "It was a cold and wet december day when we tuched the ground at JFK"
  13. Hey everyone. I hope there's no problem for a newcomer to the forums to participate in the competition. Judging by the earlier post I might not stand much of a chance, but I
