  1. I agree the objects library install with the three packs is easy. For the remaining sceneries besides the "Legacy" pack of 35, you can choose what you want to install. It's really worth it if you fly often in this part of the world. Of course you need to have the ORBX PNW PFJ and SAK as well as Tongass Fjords X for everything. I don't have PNW as I don't fly much south of Bella Bella.
  2. It's all in there, another legend leaves us : http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-32747861
  3. It's difficult because all the scenery zips don't have the same components. Most have maps and flight plans that you need to copy apart, some have effects, some have sounds, all have readme with the whole story and some have a Trip Ticket on the website and some don't... The early users have installed it over several years... It could also be that they only want people who are ready to put some effort in the process, which I could understand. After all it's freeware, they don't need to worry about the number of customers ( but they have many... ) For me I am flying at least two or thre
  4. They have a "Legacy" with 35 of the early places, but for the rest it's individual. The good thing it that you install only what you want, the bad thing when you start from scratch like me is that it takes some time... I installed Legacy and Misty's place, then started in alphabetical order, doing a few every day. I'm at letter E at the moment !
  5. I wanted to check the install of my Return to Misty Moorings addons, so I took the Malibu 32 early morning in Ketchikan harbour. I was in time to have a coffee at Misty's place. I made a short stop on the way out to listen to the seagulls... Then crossing the bay at 50 knots went to Metlakattla Harbour... And stopped by Brad's BBQ in the harbour for a good lunch before heading back to Ketchikan. Didn't see any boat although I installed the AI ship traffic. Will have to investigate...
  6. Great video... I have been flying IL2 for many years on all fronts of WW2, but since a couple of years I am in WW1 aviation. I like it up close and personal...
  7. Great pics, you're really in helos, these days...
  8. And you can train the eagle to deliver small parcels...
  9. No problem with ILS Matt, the ATC takes you at the right altitude almost aligned with the ILS, you only need to trust the instruments ... good also to have the right pressure set on your altimeter so you can keep an eye on it. With the Islander I use the autopilot up to 1 or 2 nms from the runway and only grab the yoke to set the flaps to landing position and touchdown.
  10. In fact it is the adaptation to FSX of a scenery which was already available for FS 2004, so it was developped long before ORBX. It is sold by FSAddon. It also includes optional AI traffic for Beavers, Twotters, general aviation and ships (cruise and ferries). It is smaller than the ORBX regions (centered on Sitka, Klawock, Kake, Petersburg, Wrangell) but very detailed with many added floatplane docks. It is also nice to discover by sea (all the harbour entry channels have buoys with lights) with drivable fast boats like the Malibu 32 from Deltasim.
  11. Don't know about AH2 yet, but in AH the business part is only once a month paying for your bases rental, AI pilots wages, insurance premium and monthly payment for leased planes. Takes 5 minutes a month, just click on "pay all" ! Airport taxes and fuel costs are directly taken from your account on every flight.
  12. It's not published by Orbx, but it's Holger Sandmann... and it fits with ORBX SA and PF, although the colors are a bit different.
  13. PAKW Klawock ( Tongass Fjords X )
  14. I also have a big coffee maker in a corner of the desk...
  15. I have it all set for next winter.... After my "Down Under Tour" of Australia, I plan also to open an AH company in Kiwi land...
  16. I usually make short ones around an hour or so... Flying IFR with autopilot I always listen to the radio at the same time (often following some soccer game...) and from time to time the ATC asks you for a frequency change when you switch control zones, or asks you to confirm you have another plane in visual. But I agree the fun part is the approach for landing in the traffic... (I use Ultimate Traffic 2 set at 80%) Tonight flying from Deauville to Southampton EGHI I had to make a missed approach procedure as the bloody Piper in front of me wasn't fast enough clearing the runway while I
  17. I was carrying 800 lbs of luggage, probably for people going to the races... I need to make some flights to rise the company's reputation, it's been mostly run by AI pilots during the last months while I was flying across Africa and South America... And I was missing these night flights !
  18. For faster trips, I also have the (payware 11.00 USD) Malibu 32. 40 knots cruise speed. Thinking about the Powerboat for some fun...
  19. Great shots ! Must have been a somewhat jumpy flight...
  20. Don't know, it was 5°C outside yesterday late afternoon...
  21. A short IFR AH cargo flight tonight with Aurigny Xpress BN2B Islander - From Guernsey EGJB to Deauville St Gratien LFRG
  22. # 3 Cessna C150 L by F.D. Guidée (Fravin) and Y. Franckart (Franck00)
  23. # 2 NORTH AMERICAN F-86E/F SABRE by Section F8 Team
  24. # 1 : Manfred Jahn's C 47 over Ketchikan PAKT.
