  1. SSD prices been dropping down rapidly recently here in the states its little less than 0.50c per GB in the 120-240GB range than gets even cheaper as you go up in size with that large 1TB SSD drives are now affordable no reason to stay with conventional HDD now
  2. although the thread has been very entertaining so far you must be getting paid for this abuse or you’re simply a masochistic which one is true? Last time I checked XP; on my maiden flight I was dropped into a rainy stormy night in a heavy 747 I couldn’t figure out anything; not the main menu, pause or let alone the controls It was 30 seconds later I was back in my FSX never to come close to XP again It was beyond confusing; nothing made sense or had a logical flow to it I don’t understand why the creator thinks this is the best way to introduce you to XP
  3. i have little different point of view; I’m a heavy user i love XP; i kept using it till recently i was forced to upgrade my laptop windows 7 is extremely annoying for advance users and take hours to reverse the added security and gain some freedom im on win 8.1 now and cannot get used to the Win7 interface since; which now feels clunky compared to 8.1 same thing with 8.1 (win 8 was terrible) hours to unlock the system but im very happy with it now i won’t go back to 7 or 8 will gladly go back to XP though, well... not from 8.1 I’m hooked with that said win7 has some benefits over xp
  4. Kevin, i don’t have much details about the compatibility with P3D v2.2 my source code was submitted to LM by hand few weeks back ive stated from the beginning there's nothing wrong with NE they have confiremed there's nothing they see thats wrong it's LM P3D default night environment that’s not stable to start with adding NE over it will only make things worst the way around it is to disable few buggy features at night with P3D than stability returns which allows one to turn NE on with no issues im still waiting for the user over at AS forum to give us his test result to confirm
  5. here's somthing affordable to think about for your next BDay (here in the states; no permit or lic needed for these) http://www.innovator.mosquito.net.nz/mbbs2/index.asp
  6. can i spit it? Edit: i take it back, thought it was a spitfire although we are not privy to it; i just noticed the double wing latch
  7. Thank you Nigel; i have partnered with Aerosoft which handles the file distribution, support and protection they have a system in place; not saying its impenetrable; but its enough stop any bugger from simply jumping over the fence with ease i do believe they do the best they can the way this goes down; there's not much they can do the pirates come in the front door like anyone legit would they legitimately pay for one software copy; than distribute it some files are individually signed during install with the users key AS has traced the individuals transaction instantly; the
  8. Kevin; you’re better off importing an existing poly file for your coastline than visually verify it against your imagery set, repairing small section in an existing polyline will save you days if not weeks; than creating it from scratch. one could also use buffers to simplify bulk processing and skip visual verification all together
  9. nice clip, so what if you made it ages ago; still good
  10. not sure i understand you question there the accuracy depands on the data you were provided in most cases is pretty accurate provided youre useing a recent file the problem with coast lines they are never static from one image set to another a poly line made for one image set; may not fit perfectly on another
  11. i have nothing to say to them they offer no appology for their actions and the post was erased from the thread; so they canot un thank the pirate
  12. Dean i have run into the same issue your describing there is a very simple solution for it don’t work off correcting the coastline in small areas, exclude all default coastline poly and redraw all of it you don’t really need to trace the line by hand its already been done for you find your country administrative boundaries polygon file, and convert it to usable format if you look at my recent pic i posted for NE British-Isles you will notice that i used blend and water masks for the entire project this is done to save space in my case; same methodology can be used to help you
  13. to be honest i was expecting to get pirated at some point they didnt get to us with Benelux ; i was hoping Germany whould slide as well i was monitoring these sites on an hourly basis (robot) when the first pirated copy was posted; i first got excited; yes read on... for me the appearing of a Pirate copy was an indication of popularity and demand by the community i didnt think sales whould halt instantly as it happened what i didnt expect; was to see my friends thank the pirate in public! i guess it can be looked at positivly as well if i try hard enough
  14. here you go guys, this was answered here http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/79531-night-environment-germany-preview/#entry569178 you can also give Night Environment Berlin Demo a try if you really want to verify the satment in the above link http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/79065-night-environment-berlin-demo-free-released/
  15. overlooking the obvious the black box cannot be tampered with, ok; let’s assume it was tampered with you’d need some skills and major Hollywood equipment to record back a disaster data onto the black box
  16. without getting into too much details; i have some good news to brake all Aerosoft software was removed from the ofending site as of moments ago! i can sleep better now; were back on schedule
  17. Kevin this isn’t about supplemental income or how much we earned on our release week it makes no sense putting so much work just to be ripped off in 36h; and all sales completely stop there are four adults involved in this; putting off family affairs toward producing this we all recognize the increasing interest and don’t wish to lose it we all put every available second toward this we don’t expect to make a living off this we all h have day jobs (for now) but to loss the little bit we expect is devastating to us right now many people involved in this chain are doing this profess
  18. Thank you Kevin; it is out there on a German or Dutch website i am fairly new to the commercial scene; ill admit ive sinned myself in the past with dl pirated software i didn’t realize how devastating this is Night Environment Germany was released Thursday, pirated by Saturday since its been pirated, all sales stopped at once! with our dirt cheap price tag for NE product line we didn’t even come close to brake a 1000$; for a team of 4 people working round the clock 25/7 (i make everyone get up an hour early!) for six weeks straight! and that’s on the first few days of initial
  19. what seem to be the issue there, complex convex?
  20. Thanks guys, its amazing within an hour of them releasing my work; sales basically came to a halt! i didn't test the beta 2.2 patch yet; like Geoff mentioned earlier all i see if lampposts i know Mathijs is taking care of the LM issue; did they fix the leak in 2.2? i had to submit my code and other essentials for them to look into the issue that came up in 2.1
  21. right on Geoff as for NEUK ETA; we're close! Nigel, Night Environment British Isles includes the following regions England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man, Ireland, Northern Ireland the image is only showing progress we've made so far, there's still allot of work to do right now im pretty much bummed out from seeing my work pirated less than 48h after its released
