The latest offering from A2A simulations is now available on their product page. I know people will rave about this and many users have old favourites and War Birds. However for me, (someone who normally buys A2A on release day), I'm wondering whether I would actually fly it and how and where? Waiting for inspiration. Enjoy.

I'm a MEBAR virgin. Thoroughly enjoyed three legs completed so far! Learning a lot of new tricks. Enough dodgy comments. Just wondered if it would be possible to get previous rally routes - just in case we get bored sometime after Easter?

John's link to map on Rocketroute above didn't work for me pre-flight either - sadly In retrospect it was like hurtling off the top of Blackpool Pleasure Beach's 'Big One' and trying to land neatly on the Prom 1000 feet below. Do-able but very hairy and totally irresponsible. So to help those following behind once I was back on the ground I searched further for the charts. Irritatingly I found one within the Dauntless Sim Plates App I already had on my phone / iPad! Elsewhere I found images linked below which should give you the feel of the approach. https://www.flickr.com/photos/olabo

In case you didn't notice Eaglesoft re-released their Citation X 2.0 last week. This includes complex systems including FMC and updateable Navigraph data. No enhancements were offered at that stage except it now works in SE and P3D! For existing users there is no extra licence fee or purchase necessary. Very nice and in my opinion this has to be one of the most beautiful aircraft available certainly from exterior views with the sweeping wing tips. Then, just four days later, they have upgraded the model further to include weather radar integrated into the MFD for ASN users. Awesome.

Aivlasoft (EFB makers) have recently released Simplecam. It's a neat (simple) alternative to Ezdoc and Opus cameras that works with P3D, FSX and SE. You can quickly set up 10 virtual cockpit views (for each aircraft) using the number keypad. I've been using this a few days and found it excellent. Far simpler to use than Ezdock or Opus. No need to open up another window / interface. Set up or amend camera views on the ground or in the air. Move the camera to new location, press Control and the selected number key, then 1 to save (or 2 for don't save). Simple! No panning. No external

I got this after the review. Cost me £20 and I think that was very fair. The trim was far too sensitive so it was difficult to fly level. I followed guidance above just now and so far have found 0.3 to be much better. Thanks Matt. The best thing about this aircraft is the visibility - no pillars. Great for small screens. Big shock though - I think this is my first aircraft with no autopilot -something I use far too much. So, as it was intended, a great trainer. Really enjoying hand flying low and slow. Cheers guys.

That last connection went over my head. But I think the Bismark sank - with water over their heads? SUBMERGED

Great review Joe. So the only downside is trim over sensitivity. Presumably this can be fixed using FSUIPC 'sword' settings some adopted to speed up the slow trim on A2A Cherokee? Off to look for some hanger space I think. Dean

Following Andrew's recent excellent review I purchased my first Alabeo add-on and installed it in P3D V3 using EMT. This is Orbx Socal and as I am using a modest laptop I have to turn settings down a bit to cope with detail of scenery but this truly is a great aircraft. I found already documented minor problem with 'phantom yaw damper' and sometimes I find the autopilot buttons are sticky. (Z key is still useful) The rest of the G1000 seems to be fully functioning. After several long flights I have to say everything really works well and every aspect of the aircraft is beaut

Product Review Alabeo - Cessna 400 'Corvalis' TT

Hi Joe and Andrew EMT worked great into P3D V3 - just in case anyone else was wondering. What a beautiful plane! Hope to get some hours in this weekend and need to get used to G1000 procedures. Thanks again. Dean -
Product Review Alabeo - Cessna 400 'Corvalis' TT
Dean33 replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
Great review Andrew thank you. Despite pretty average reports elsewhere on the Internet and YouTube I purchased this aircraft last night. (Who do we trust if we don't trust Andrew - no pressure there then Andrew!) Problem is I am using P3D V3 and despite it being "compatible" there is no installer. (Yet). I'm currently re-downloading P3D V2.5 - as I understand this is needed to support V3 in the installation. If anybody can point me to any easy way to deal with the installation of this Alabeo add-on into P3D V3 it would be much appreciated. (I have EMT). Cheers. Dean -
