Hmm. Crumpet would be nice but may have to settle for Hot Cross Buns.

'If it was you that posted there, thanks for saving my life' It's a great tip but Brett - if you get stuck again just press Esc or Control Alt Delete - or you could just stand up - the clues in the name Flight Simulator!

Thanks for the Bob 'heads up' I was disappointed when he didn't like P3d previously. Cheers Dean

I think if you download the new FTX Central Beta it detects them all automatically for you and tells you what to update. Dean

Product Review Just Flight L-1011 'TriStar' Professional
Dean33 replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
Thanks for the excellent review Andrew. Comprehensive, detailed, balanced and interesting. That's one for the shopping list once we absorb the recent expenditure on two PMDG P3D 're-purchases'! Cheers. Dean -
I was going to suggest we had an astronomy section in the forum but bearing in mind comments elsewhere that's probably not a good idea! (Joke). Dean totally cloudy in Blackpool no knowledge of an eclipse at all!

PMDG NGX SP1d for FSX/FSX:SE and P3D released...
Dean33 replied to stu7708's topic in News and Press Releases
Kevin Not sure whether this post should have been in within the jokes category? Let us know how the negotiations go! My tip for P3D – turn off the frame counter and then assess how your system is performing visually. I use a modest laptop computer and I'm seeing fluid movement and good detail most of the time even when the frame counter is quite low. Cheers Dean -
Help please! Quick survey - help appreciated

Hi Dai. Survey completed. I live 1 mile from UK fracking 'epicentre' - literally! Blackpool - home of the UKs first official air show (1909) and now fracking. Dean -

Computer flight simulator fraudster jailed for 12 months
Dean33 replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
I agree with Brett. I enjoyed and found useful all his free videos even with the pesky dog. I only noticed 'deals' being mentioned towards the end of his activities. I may be wrong but it seems like he set out with all good intentions and then life threw some curved balls at him. Ok he made wrong choices (and will pay for them) but let's be realistic - he's not a terrorist! -
I asked the original question back on this thread several months ago. I purchased Rader Contact I can honestly say I think it's great and totally suitable for my purposes. It's not perfect and sometimes needs a little bit of working around but it really does work and do the job properly. Dean

Hi. No doubt Ralph will reply with the actual size and technicalities later. For now I can say SimChecklist has no connection to whatever simulator you use. It's a separate Windows program that Ralph cleverly created to pop up and down without interfering with whatever you are flying. One pop up for checklists function and another for the EFB. A2A Cherokee 180 & Mindstar GNS 430 GPS
Dean33 replied to GA2Pilot's topic in General Aviation (GA) and Corporate
Hi Charlie and welcome to our gang. The A2A Cherokee doesn't actually come 'Mindstar ready' like the recent C182. (Nor does the A2A C172 Trainer but similar applies) However it is a simple job to install the 430 (or 530) (stack and pop up) and you can follow the clear instructions on A2A forum here. I had recently uninstalled the Cherokee for some reason so put it back together again this afternoon with the Mindstar/A2A instructions and it was ten minutes work. It really performs well but you will need to subscribe for the NavData if you want up to date information and SIDS and -

Great work Ralph. And for those who haven't seem the free 737 videos they really are a 'must see' for all airline simmers. Great detailed procedures based on the manuals. Dean

Hi. There's better coverage of this topic elsewhere but i think Brett's answer is wrong. 'Get away with' - maybe. 'Correct' -no. My reading of this when I went for P3d was that if I'm not at College and of college age (I'm not) then paying for the professional licence was the right thing I did this 6 months ago and have never regretted it for a minute. Much more stable. Better performance. 3 updates in 6 months! FSX stopped those years ago. I remember when when FS8 and FS9 came out and I'm sure in today's money they would have been around the $80 mark. The only problem you have i
