Hi and welcome. Many grey simmers in this location! My advice is jump straight into P3d V3. I have a lower spec laptop than your proposed rig. I'll not comment on that but I have to say the performance increase I've seen with v3 is astonishing. No doubt others will chip in their views. Dean

I was considering updating my Windows 8 laptop soon. Just read elsewhere that Dragon Naturally Speaking (which I use occasionally now) does not work. Many businesses are heavily into Dragon dictation so here's a warning - to check before they jump. Think I'll just upgrade to Windows 8.1 for now and 'let the dust settle'. Dean

I am thoroughly into P3D but do also have FSX on Steam now (deleted the disk version). I didn't realise that DCS World was on Steam and fancy trying it. To any DCS experts out there what would you recommend as a taster?
