nice review Jess, I agree with all you have said, price is reasonable as Loic said but I am not sure if it will draw in lots of punters, they do like a sale though and are renowned for DLC so who knows.... Can't find anywhere to report bugs though, at least in XP 11BETA we had a dedicated place to post them.... Lets hope they DO listen and on final it will be ready, fingers crossed......

So downloaded my free copy last night, honestly my first impression is FSX with no addons...I have it on Max settings all round, getting a healthy FPS but....blurry in the distance, really shows, ATC-can't get no sound......brakes even though st up weren't working....and way to many trees....now I know this is EA and I have only flown for about an hour but when it looks like this it is hard to be convinced not to just go back to my XP10/11 or P3D....anyway here are a few shots..... getting on course..... preset weather, closest match to what's out the window... blurred

yeah it does seem to cope with most I throw at it...

cheers guys, all good so far, issue with QW757 but hopefully JF can help, just Aerosofts A320 to install then I am good...It has actually made me look at what I don't ever use and decide to not install again, had some fun yesterday under low cloud, pic in May comp...I ended up lost and landed on the motorway...oops....

had it on FSX and now trying to activate it for P3D, I really like this one however I think I have an issue since upgrading my PC, hoping JF can sort it as the update hasn't changed anything for me. Had to download a Windoze 7 font as apparently it doesn't play well with windoze 10....if you go for it and need the font let me know and I can send the zip file with instructions....best of luck....

So lots of downloading, installing and setting up......all seems ok as we now add the aircraft...having an issue with QW757, black screens, however no support for P3D and I have downloaded a w7 font file that supposedly sorts it, sadly I don't know what to do with it.... Anyhow Shrike around the Gloucestershire area testing the addons, REX/ASN/ORBX.... forgot all about this aircraft.... sorry about the FPS counter but wanted to see how it was doing...

I find having in the past 2 different saved settings helped, so if I was flying GA I could have more going on like ground traffic and Ai, but flying the tubes I would have a setting turning that either off or down low......I must say though I don't get that in XP, guessing as it's 64bit, my limits is my 970 4gb card.....

P3D looking good so far,ORBX downloads seem to take forever but they are big...... I agree with you NEil I would stick with FSX but nothing changed and overnight it decided it didn't want to play anymore. My main sim is XP11 but need something for AHso that will now be P3D... True saying- if it aint broke don't fix it........less tinkering more flying....

nice one Brett, that's what good feedback looks like, sadly over on Steam there is so much negativity for a product we haven't seen yet and the only footage is early access, I feel like we had with XP11 people will be straight on it with their demands and criticisms before it's finished. If it is poor then once it's on full release lets say so....I hope they succeed as FSX technically could do with an update to take advantage of new tech that we have now, as for the DLC arguement I imagine we have all bought ASN/REX/ORBX/PMDG/JF/A2A etc which in reality are DLC just from different sources....I

Agree there with Jess, I have not heard good things about Blackbox, I had hoped Aerosofts version would be out by now but personally I would wait for that.....

Cheers for the advise guys...I have installed P3Dv3, REX/ASN and some ORBX but with central that auto updates so its a slow process, will get it all installed though as I need something for AH....XP11 though is now my go to sim and I will give FSW afair crack to try and see what the potential is, but honestly that could be a year or two down the road depending on how well it is received by the community and the devs....I have made a discision that I will not go back to FSX now, I actually have not bought any FSX stuff for a very long time......

Release date for Early Access now confirrmed as the 18th May, less than 1 week away, will probably take a week to download......

Thats it, I have had with FSX, go on get in the bin, don't even think of going near my hard drive again, all these years, all the things I have bought you to keep you happy and its all about you and what you want, I'll give you fatal error!!!!! Fired up FSX today, bang FATAL ERROR.......tried everything to get it to work, nothing had changed since being shut down last....one time to many for me, time I cut and run from the sim...did it hear me talking of newer sims on the horizon? weird how it happens..well after 6 hours I have given up and uninstalled all of it....now the ponderin

yeah well at least we can see first hand what its like, posts on steam already include........P3DV4 or FSW.......why no 3rd party addons.....why no airliners....steam haters...dovetail haters.... the whole worlds gone mad, it's not out yet wait and see then voice your concerns, had the same whilst we were BETA on XP11....
