Hi Bob, I use it for both, have a look through the screenshots page a lot of us on here have posted GA shots using Active sky, I think it works well with both types of flight....

good advise there Joe, Chillblast have some great stuff and quite a few on here have bought from them, I don't as I build my own....I say buy what you can afford, todays overkill could be out of date in 6 months, your specs in the OP look good to me.....

sounds good to me, but I am sure someone else with a more modern system will chime in, I have an i5 6600k with 16gig RAM linked to an old GTX 970 card and it runs P3D and XP11 very well so you should be fine.......

at the moment Lucy I believe waiting is the best policy, I got it for free but I really wouldn't have paid for it in its current state... ATC no sound, lots of people with that issue, close sim and start again usually fixes it... Contols profiles not saving, not had this but again lots have and it's a pain.... trees everywhere, my city looks like a village in a forest, and Bristol isn't that small... If Dovetail listen and go through a good period of updates then this could be ok, but like you said, and so many others have to, we have invested in lots of addons that

@mutley @brett Joe that was indeed very useful, I really didn't think of that.....I watched a vid that Rob Ainscough had posted, the sopunds were amazing....Brett I really like flying the Bus with all it's tech and I am still amazed at how I just end up where I should be, however a lot of the flight is spent monitoring, now in XP I have been using PMDG's DC6, that is a really nice in depth AC and I have enjoyed that to....This one I think with the added Accusim and COS could be just as good to.....I really like to change it up a bit and have a good variety now between my 2 main sims....

@mutley @allardjd ok so thanks for your replays, just checked and all is pointing to exactley the same reading, GPS, HDG BUG and across the top of the screen.. I also have only just put P3D back onto my system so it didn't actuaslly go through any Navdata update. I have never really understood the need to update unless the sim is the same as the real world, was advised to update for XP11 something to do with the Airbus but don't understand why, nothing changes in sim unlike real world however as XP11 was new I thought I had better..... So still none the wiser why this has happened but I will k

So we now have P3D running I think quite nicely, started a new company in AH2, past my TR and got the first job, just a quick run across to Farnborough with some tools...been having an internet issue (changing provider in a couple of weeks) so had to manually set some weather as I couldn't download real weather....really enjoyed this short one it felt good to be flying instead of installing, and there's a lesson to us all try to fly more and not tweak so much......uneventful trip but on both TR and this the ILS seemed to be taking me slightly to the right of the runway, hand flew in though so

@Corsaire31 yeah I to had set up ref Nicks bible, was all fine and just changed over night for some reason, anyhow I now have P3D running which I use for AH and it's running well with the aircraft and addons I like....also have XP11 with everything I like on that so I am now in a position to just fly and enjoy it......64bit will only avoid OOM's I find in XP I only sometimes get near my cards limit but never my RAM limit.....I think as long as you have FSX / P3D set up well they look good anyway.....

yep tfound the bug reports on steam......getting a lot of negative reviews so far. I think the thing will be how they deal with the bugs / issues that users have....
