Very nice Jim, you're going to need bigger paintbrush for this one!
-
Nice job Al, looks a little sinister.
-
Great shots Peter, looks a smooth landing.

I'm a Railworks 3 advocate. Lots of addons around and on Steam. Better looking than the Trainz series in my view.

I remember when FSX came out and I upgraded and my disappointment at how bad it was and that it didn't come near to FS9, I couldn't run it properly and it was graphically inferior as a result...after x years I am finally happy with FSX. I am happy to fly either. Sit and wait, see what happens. No point in raising blood pressure over this, disappointed? Yes, stopping me enjoying my hobby? I don't think so!

You've got a great talent. Well done!

Wow!

Great shots Jan, always wanted to make a kit of the Bronco. Better clear my backlog first!

Great job!

I'm not normally keen on photo scenery but decided to get my feet wet with Just Flight VFR and took the 20% off. Quite taken with yesterday's flight.Still enjoying the AC. ...Cayton Bay..... ...Scarborough at dusk... And three more... ...fog over Vancouver enroute to Qualicum Beach... ...New Hampshire again...

Automated FSX.cfg tweaks
charlie replied to mutley's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
I'm a sceptic of things claiming to automatically improve the performance and I've been hacking around FSX.cfg for the past week and made reasonable improvements, saw this and gave it a try. Gained another 5FPS on the ground and 10 in flight. Works for me! Thanks for posting this and bringing it to the top again. -
Christmas 1981 delivered a 48K ZX Spectrum and two games, 'Chequered Flag' and 'Flight Simulation'. Many hours were spent that year flying around Orb lake and other well known features. This was followed later with 'Tomahawk' which simulated an AH-64. Looked a lot like the plane in Flight Simulation, but you could perform torque turns and over-torque was a problem, but visibility wasn't, the mountains were wireframe. Came with a security device that was a folding lens. Illegal copying of the audio tapes was oviously taking off. Student days led to study of 'Interdictor' on an Acorn. For some

Great job Al! When we were kids, the annual family holiday was to Cornwall for several years, crossing the Tamar was the sign we were there... Great choice of plane as well.
-
Great shots Graeme! It's a great dawn set.
-
Thanks all. Graeme, I deleted the area from scenery, backed up the old in case and installed new. Because I'm not one for photoreal textures I deleted all other files in the new folder (have to try and put the airpport back in) and only left the new mesh in place and let autogen do the rest.

Thanks to BirdmanMike, I downloaded the OzX Grand Canyon scenery earlier. Already done this flight this week strangely enough. Here it is with the updated mesh... Well worth the download, thanks again Mike.
-
Thanks Mike, just downloaded and looks great.

Nice job Jim!

Nice Job Kieran!

Great shots Rich! Not one for military, but I had to get that in the recent sale.
-
Nice shots Al, some of the guys over at VIVA have been flying freight with it. It's a beauty.

Judging by the repaint, it's a couple of years old. Must've been in the days when I had bloom enabled. If you look carefully you can see why I don't use it in addition to the FPS killer...on my card you can see the navigation lights through the fuselage.
