Thanks to Joe and Just Flight for last months prize screenshot, I went for the AC 11. Spent the week re-installing FSX and tweaking and just flown from Pease International across New Hampshire to Keene. Downwind at Keene, Monadnock in the distance. A great plane. Highly enjoyable. Thanks again Joe. EDIT: no, it only looks like the Bonanza below!!

Nice job Al, great gear up shot. Making me feel like taking the reins on something a little larger than my usual ride.

Wow! I am so pleased! Thank you Joe and everyone! -
Now posted in the file library.

Thanks Max. It's by FSD International (FSX and FS9 versions). This is FS9 but the textures will work in both.

Thanks all, I would like to lay claim to spinner Joe, but I can't. The load manager automatically installs the missing textures in this model. You only have to work on 4. It must have a pool of several variations to choose from. Will have to copy these because I've only noticed now!!

I would have thought the ORBX fields have their own texture as will many addon arifields. The REX texture will probably only affect airfields where the FSX original is still in place. I wouldn't pay for a grass texture, use the REX free.

Used the G-CECI as a basis for an Air Hauler company repaint... Early work Close to final... Got to fix the lights now.

Looks good Tim. I haven't dabbled since XP7 and I remember it being a bit light at times, the planes did seem to be a bit sensitive.

Thanks all, finally got around to finishing this... Should be available in the file library soon.

Regarding limiting framerates Graeme, in FSX I ran at unlimited as this was the most suggested setting. As long as your happy with it, that's all that really matters. I'm thinking of starting the old girl up again so many hours of tweaking ahead!

Thanks again Garry, that helped me think it through as to why it would be there. Then I realised how stupid I was! I've installed a couple of new planes last week, that's what changed, the contrail's not the problem at all. The new planes generate smoke for longer on startup, or at least one of them does, now so do all of my planes for some reason (as you say could be gauge related?). I've also been loading a saved in-flight after starting FS9 recently. These planes (in flight) now also generate smoke for the same time as going from a cold startup on the ground, that's the strange thing. Ne

Thanks for reply both of you. You're right Garry, I'll revisit the forum where I saw this solution. Maybe I read it wrong. It's a real puzzle, last week it appeared in BC and disappeared when I loaded a flight in Alaska, not much difference in temp between the two I would think. This week it happened over York and not in BC. Looks more like smoke than contrails, but have only appeared since messing with the contrails. Will try Tim's suggestion next. Thanks again.

Well this is really puzzling me... Realised last week that I had no contrails anywhere so I used a freeware AI contrail updater. When I loaded a saved flight, the Carenado Bonanza trailed smoke and then small puffs. Adjusted temparerature for contrails to something ridiculously low to prevent formation of contrails to no effect. (therefore smoke???) I opened another flight and they were no longer present. Case closed. Now they're back. Another location, newly installed aircraft, and all aircraft now blow smoke, doesn't look like a contrail. On loading the original flight that showed the sm
