  2. Yep - the KC-135 is still going strong - the replacement is the KC-767 project that 'beat' the Airbus offering. I think EIS is 2017 for them

Not strictly aviation, but: On 4 May, German officers came to the Tactical Headquarters of Montgomery's 21st Army Group on Lüneburg Heath and signed a surrender document for all German forces in North-West Germany, Denmark and Holland, to be effective from the following day. Various local surrenders took place elsewhere.   5. Interestingly, the FedEx crash in Tokyo was reported here, but not this one. Prehaps it's because it's from a military base carrying military equipment? Either way, the crew were still cilivians

  16. Can't remember them in passenger service, but have seen the one at Duxford - beautiful aircraft, at least DM has made an excellent model
