  5. I kind of feel like big screens are going to end up being limited to "audience" viewing like the family movie nights, which curved screen would not be good for with a limited sweet spot area. For personal monitors my virtual money is on glasses, goggles, contact lenses, or wearable HUD devices of some kind...very interested in seeing more of this kind of thing.

  6. Quite an interesting little video that shows one of the very few trains to have actually flown. The IÉ Class 201 pioneer was brought across to speed up driver training. Of interest is that this was 1994 - in 2009/2010 201, along with the onther first 9, were stored due to lack of push/pull equipment (amongst other things)

  14. we had a boating holiday back in the 70's and had the same experience makes you wonder why they could not keep it mothballed just in case russia cuts off the gas or increases the price to something stupid, and also to help reduce the inevitable impact within the next 5 years when the uk has insufficient electricity generation due to the closure of atomic plants. One of the main reasons for including cooling towers & their steam in FSX Power Project is that they can be seen from miles away & do indeed make ideal navigation reference points. Have to agree with Nigel, perh

  18. Agree. Also, that pulsing of the exhaust smoke looked like it may have swallowed a valve. I didn't see any oil on the cowl or windshield, so most likely an internal failure, akin to a "contained" failure in a jet. When a jug blows off, most of the oil seems to end up on the windshield and forward visibility becomes about zero. He did a great job with it - the only criticism I could make, with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight and sitting here in a cool and calm environment, is that it might have been a good idea to push the canopy open before touchdown, just in case it jammed. 19. There's something unique about the IOW, a great place to come from and a great place to go back to but to live there... It's a bit like New Zealand, 30 years behind the rest of the world. Oh and my big sis took me gliding from Sandown and Bembridge. :)

  23. AT LAST !! Have the first 17 releases. They are good value for the money, even with a few forested roads....better nip over to SimMarket and grab the rest now. Then get the Patch...Mmm...denuded interstates perhaps...LOL
