  1. They say "necessity is the mother of invention" trim wheels are so useful for GA, and expensive to buy. Thanks for sharing Mike!
  2. Stay safe Neil and drink loads (of water obviously!)
  3. Wow! That is an extreme repaint
  4. Nice capture Alan. Great idea Ros, I'll pin up the post
  5. Lovely shots JK, that must have been a real adventure in real life

    FSUIPC

Hi Wayne, My Saitek Yoke, pedals and TQ don't need any kind of 3rd party software to set up and run, they just work using the standard Windows drivers. If yours are running too then then leave as is would be my advice. Buying the full version of FSUIPC is only really necessary if you need to apply custom calibration and button assignment and a few other tweaks which I am not sure that P3Dv4 needs? However, I do have the full version as I like to support developers for the hard work they do, I also use Wide Client to use FSUIPC on a remote PC for programs like Plan-G etc. If
  8. This is a first matt, I am taking a bit of a liberty but I did fly the route in the Phenom originally. I have no idea Matt, but it looks good enough to be real so keep calm and carry on!
  9. I arrived back at Niue after some delicate negotiations with our financiers and to set up the aircraft for our next flight, desperate times call for desperate measures. I made track for Turtle Lodge, a safe house up the coast. I didn’t have to introduce myself, the doors opened as if by magic, obviously someone was keeping an eye out and flipped the switch. I was shown to the lounge, JG was already there and in a bit of a state, so much so he still hadn’t changed out of his flight gear. Jasmine relayed what had happened previously, and JG was taking a small drink to calm his nerves
  10. Thanks Sam, I've only just caught up with this, interesting viewing, 2017 has been a good year for FSW, I hope 2018 brings as many improvements!
  11. Don't you just love AI and traffic programs?
  12. Hi JG, The flight sim has to be running in order for the WX engine to be enabled. Also, make sure you have the WX engine enabled in the settings - Engine page (see below)
  13. Coff..it's going to be the weekend until I get to you. I've been called back to the UK to get more finance for the tour
  14. Wow, I must re-install it, I have been waiting for the new JF Spit to be released.
  15. @brettFrom what I have experienced so far, the in-cloud motion effects are still there.
  16. REX SF3D is a complete new cloud and sky texture set replacement and weather engine. It can be used just for the new cloud textures with Active Sky which (it appears) still has a superior weather engine, like you are using REX TD/SC and AS16 now. Or, you can use it as the weather generator as well which will use some bespoke dynamic textures depending on the weather situation. You can download the user manual for free on their site for the complete picture.
  17. Thanks for the heads up, I haven't witness the weather redraws (yet) but I have only flown once from Liverpool to Bham in a GA aircraft. The options which require the REX weather engine look to be mostly the dynamic ones, you could liken it to ASP4 using Cloud Art dynamically?
  18. Not yet Kevin, I have it installed but it's too early to say how good the weather engine is, but the cloud textures are looking awesome when running as a totally REX set up. I haven't tried it with ASP4 as the weather engine yet but will do as time allows. It will be a while until I can review it as I have two other commissions to come first. Joe
  19. From REX Studios: Sky Force 3D is a complete overhaul of the 3D weather model and texture/atmospheric effects experience while bringing dimension to FSX, FSX Steam, and Prepar3D v1, 2, 3 and 4. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY: * Re-designing the 3D cloud model structure and SDK and patterning it after real-world cloud classifications. * Developing a real-world cloud model system including (but not limited to) cloud streets, supercells, wall clouds, funnel, shelf, rain shaft, and tornadoes. * Integrating a weather engine that harnesses o
  20. It's just the standard setting so 3 taps on the Caps Lock key does it
  21. What have you got us into JG? A superb PIREP as always, now I have to figure out a few things before I get to Turtle Lodge.
  22. No, not Deep Purple's classic rock song that we have all played on our air guitars! but as like the song, I would like to see shots of Lake Geneva with some low flying over the water, and if you can get some smoke on the water then extra points! Good luck, competition closes 31st January, 2018
  23. Thanks everyone for your fantastic entries. Although this wasn't a Christmas themed contest, it was great to see the messages on some of your shots. So, December's winner is this very chilly looking snow shot from our very own Brett, well done mate
  24. Hi Richard, thanks for sharing your views on the product which seem to be very positive. I know our readers really like to see feedback from user of a product. HNY to you too! Joe
  25. Just published is our review of iBlueYonder's 100 Dollar Burger: Minute Man & Plum Island by Joe Lawford. This scenery is a follow on from the very popular Nantucket Island, is it as good, or better? Read on...
