  5. I've never thought of hacking my iPod. It's only a Nano2 with a small screen so I would probably not benefit as much as you guys'. Nice idea though. Cheers

  10. Carrying on for the desperate request to save Joe from the briny in leg 19, the Herk has reported a positive contact. Mike Hotel we've found the Ozzie! He's floating with a flashing baton in his hand, he assures us it IS the is the Mutley's Hangar baton! He is located 2Nm 270° Roger India Juliet, we're on our way now, you can get back to base. Closing in on the location, not far to go. The winch man is keeping a good eye out. I see something flashing in the water over there, about 200 metres west! Yep, I can see him, send down "Big Dave" :mrhappy: Big Dave descends to the
  11. More good news Joe, the Jayhawk is right there getting it's directions from the Herk, It won't be long now, hang on little buddy! Cheers
  12. Not to worry Joe the SAR departed a while ago, I've just got these pictures in from the news-feed. Once they've zeroed in on your signal the Jayhawk will be out to pick you up :mrhappy:
  13. That's a stunning set of shots Joe well done! Shame you've had to ditch in the drink. Thanks Simi, If anyone's in the area please have a look for Joe and the Baton he has in his pocket! Cheers
  14. I've got the JF Spitfire, as Fred says plenty of versions including K5054 which are OK. The Alphasim Mk.IX FS9 model with is not quite so polished but flyable and I think free now? Also the FSX download version from Shockwave, a lot of nice detail but the prop has the transparency problem with clouds, they say it's the fault of FSX but how come their default props work ok. (Not very happy with that :sadblinky: Cheers
  15. Hi David, I wouldn't go that far with the cryptic element :mrhappy: Also I said not so long ago as opposed to recent, that's if you consider within the last 50 years not so long ago, that was a bit mis-leading , sorry. I bet they wish they had the herk then  Also, wrong hemisphere (Major clue!!)
  16. Aww, they were excellent Sam, a fine selection with a great feel to them fit for anyone's desktop :mrhappy: Thanks for posting, Cheers
  17. OK we're getting there! I need to study these a bit more but a few comments to start with. Phil, you see that after our chat about PACEL I included Lima, I will include Quito too. Sam, Thanks for the list, we've already got two suggestions for Chicago but may look at Midway as an alternative to O'hare Mullet, looking at your plan and other suggestions I think we may turn left to Alaska when we hit the Americas, via Washington state then across Canada down to New York then zig-zag through North America, stop off in a few Caribbean islands off to Mexico / Equidor though South America until
  18. Nice try Sam but the airport is not in Turkey, I will be posting more clues when needed :mrhappy: Cheer
  19. Hey ho , Thanks Uncle Mart, Auntie Miche and Katy :mrhappy: You've realy made my day I'll be in touch! Cheers
  20. Here is the next location. The Herc may have had to use this procedure not so long ago. It is an "International" Airport but only has VOR-DME and NDB Good luck
  21. Simi, You are thinking on the same lines as me I will add to the list above, its going well keep em coming! Cheers
  22. Hi John, Thanks for the very comprehensive and informative reply, there's a whole challenge there in it's self! Meigs Field (FS9) should definitely be in with it's long standing association with FS. Niagara would be nice and could be the stop after Meigs. There after we could pop across to Moose country for a quick stop. (I would like to stop possibly in Guelph as I have relatives there) Las Vegas would be colourful. There's plenty of ideas in there thanks John :mrhappy:
